Integration, race riots, assassinations, Vietnam, the draft and on and on. Not saying they're aren't major issues today, there are. But, the 1960s are nearly universally regarded as the most socially tumultuous years in our country's history.I disagree. Are you implying that those issues went away? I assure you that time has exacerbated all issues
Of course I actually lived in the Times we speak of. If you believe social issues have become easier, it’s clear you did not. Education is more important than I thought
I see you disagreed. Look it up. Info is regularly available on google. Phil Jackson has more rings and as you do elloquently pointed out, he had tougher social issues and crazier players
Gronk is acting like a baby.... If he continues, he may end up in Cleveland...
If that’s their sole reason, that’s pathetic. It’s time to move on and turn the page to a new season and a new opportunity. The greatest HC of all time made the wrong call. It is what it is.
I think it’s much more likely the fact that they’re both underpaid, definitely feel under appreciated, have had their personal trainers taken off the sidelines and out of the building, and that those issues were compounded with the SB situation, which was one more thing that pissed them off.

If whining about the Butler benching is their sole reason, as you suggest, then what is the end game?I disagree. After Super Bowl 46 when Gronk and Matt Light were dancing shirtless, the overall feeling was "they weren't taking the loss seriously, they don't care." Now, when they are upset about losing the Super Bowl and are acting in such a manner, it's pathetic? I just do not agree.
I'm glad they are still upset, even if that's just part of the reason. They should be, especially Brady and Gronk. BB called them out on their trainer not doing a good enough job (wrong), then suspended said trainer from the sidelines (understand the reasoning, but in my opinion not the best idea), then benched a very good player and kept him on the bench even after he saw it blowing up in his face. This is the gamble Belichick took, and he's dealing with it now.
I'm not even on Gronk's side in this. That **** yesterday was immature and just plain stupid. But I get the lashing out, even if I don't agree.

Man, the Super Bowl has some of you absolutely losing your ****.
What do you suggest as a solution? I've read all sorts of postsThe Butler benching isn’t “the reason” for the discontent. It’s just that prior to the benching they could justify having to put up with a ton of **** Belichick did to them because they believed “well, at least at the end of the day he’s going to make the right football decisions to win.” But him making such a god awful decision with Butler opens the door for “well if he’s going to blow all of our hard work due to his own ego trip there’s no way I’m putting up with him anymore.”
So, you’re saying that neither of them play as a Patriot this year? But him making such a god awful decision with Butler opens the door for “well if he’s going to blow all of our hard work due to his own ego trip there’s no way I’m putting up with him anymore.”
Phil Jackson played a limited roll as a substitute on the first championship team and did not play at all on the second (look it up). Phil's had arguably the greatest player of all time in Michael Jordan. Then in L.A. he had Shaq and Koby. How did he do when he had to start from scratch (NY)?Phil Jackson has 11 rings (two as a player). Red had 16 (7 as GM).
Again, are you in favor of firing Belichick? Stop being a ****y and man up.The Butler benching isn’t “the reason” for the discontent. He’d be missing out on catching passes from one of his best friends and greatest QB of all time. That could potentially be a negative that is seen. If he goes to say, the Tampa Bay Bucs, Cincinnati Bengals, etc, his production could decline.

Define compromise.I’m in favor of Kraft telling him to either compromise or walk away.
