Gronk is being an immature manchild and a marketing whore - which he is entitled to be. The question is, in BBs estimation is he truly undermining the program and if so, is it worth it to keep him when he can decent value for him

I don't know where Gronk or Brady stand with BB. I don't know how deep the trouble is, if there's really any. I find it a little bit troubling that Brady and Gronk aren't at OTAs, but also get that the season ended on a down note, and these guys are always playing into February, unlike 31 other teams.

The only think I do know is that I find Gronk's coy games tiresome. He thinks he's being funny, but he's causing consternation among the people who support him (which gets him all these extra gigs at marketing). i don't think it's fair of him to do that to people who are heavily invested in that little aspect of his life that actually puts him on the field.

He doesn't need to be acting like this and he's doing his brand no good.

Personally, I don't care either way about his off-the-field antics. I want him on the field for the Pats, sure. he's a pleasure to watch ON THE FIELD. Off the field? Not so much, imo.

Honestly, there is absolutely no downside to Gronk's actions, for him anyway. He is the Goat of tight ends and I'm pretty sure he knows what it takes to be ready for the season. Gronk hasn't had too many offseasons where he wasn't rehabbing some sort of injury and he is taking advantage of this one. Worst case scenario is he gets traded and his salary doubles whatever it is now.

I LOVE Gronk but our offense will continue just fine if we can find Bennet level production from somone new. I have been emotionally prepared for Gronk's retirement since his last time on ir. We shouldn't fear change as long as BB is the coach. In 2011 we lose both our starting safeties and witness horrible defenses weekly only to be a few plays away from winning a super bowl in the end.

Lastly, Butler/Eagles have broken this team. I suspect massive change. We will see how our defense looks without Matt Patricia calling the shots. If we still look like crap, I don't see a reason to spend serious money on Gilmore, McCourty, and Hightower or anyone for that matter.

There is a possibility that Gronk and Brady are deliberately f*****ing with BB (Curren). Even if this is not the case, why would anyone want to see Gronk traded or retired? If Gronk plays next season (I have no doubt) he will be a monster. The Pats will get pennies on the dollar if he is traded and possibly more cap if he retires for the greatest tight end of all time.

I said I'm sure they aren't encouraged by the press conference.

But I'm sure they are generally happy to have their star players kiss the ass of the sponsors and organizations renting the facilities. And likely/possibly even helped bring the two together when they first started doing these events.

I think he was clearly screwing with the media every football question was met with something about dirtbiking instead.
He's goofing off but I think he's very aware of how goofing off about things like that will be perceived by BB and Co.
