How Focused is Gronk?

This is what happens when an entire roster busts its ass all season, take team friendly contracts, and then in the moment of truth, coach makes it about something else

I’d be pissed too.....gronk knows what his leverage is, and part of that leverage is to put the team in a position where getting rid of him will not yield what they hope for.

The pats should dump him and roll the dice on a 32 year old WR with a reconstructed knee to be their #1 option

Teams don’t hesitate to wave their power around.....and payback is a *****

I know this: if you rub BB's nose in it, you'll be gone. If Gronk's desire to be traded is legit or not legit, it won't matter.

Man, if Belichick trades Gronk and then packages his high draft picks to get a new QB Brady is going to be really asking himself what he’s doing this for.

That would be a ridiculous amount of turnover on offense. Gutted of talent and familiarity for Brady. Amendola, Lewis, Solder, Cooks and Gronk.

They'd have to bet on successfully drafting a very solid TE or WR who could contribute immediately and/or [dare I mention it again] acquire Josh Gordon for the right price. Not to mention the question marks at left tackle.

Gronk and Brady seem to be trying a power play against Belichick. Belichick could laugh at them by moving a pick and Gronk to draft Rosen or Jackson. And I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

I would not rework Gronk's deal ... If we trade him it's a 6 million dead cap so he needs to be replaced by a draft choice to compensate. I would take a 1st and a 2nd or 3rd for him. Hurts the team in the short term but we can compensate ... as we have shown we can.

Too many speculations, too many signs to ignore the fact that there is bad blood in this team.

I swear to god some of you act like if a player sits down to watch Game of Thrones for an hour that it's time to question their commitment to football.

Rob Gronkowski won't participate in the Patriots' offseason workouts.

When asked if he'll participate in the team's voluntary workouts, Gronk said he won't because he's "got dirt-biking skills to work on". He also candidly mentioned the Patriots will see a "freek-a-leek" when he comes back, perhaps hinting he'll be a participant in camp. Team workouts are completely optional, but the 28-year-old will miss out on a $250,000 workout bonus in his contract. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week Gronkowski is still considering whether to play in 2018.

Gronk is acting like a baby.... If he continues, he may end up in Cleveland...

Early onset midlife crisis? Second childhood? Maybe third childhood? Continuous childhood? Spoiled brat? Celebrity syndrome?

This latest stunt is so over the top though. It's also a huge publicity bump for one of his sponsors, which may not be quite coincidental.

So, I'm beginning to wonder if he saw how the media ran amok with his in-the-moment comments after experiencing the double-whammy of the Superbowl loss AND coming home to find his "safe place" ransacked - and ultimately decided to start pranking them.

Yes, I have a wild imagination, so I wouldn't be shocked if Gronk suddenly shows up bright-and-early on May 21st (next voluntary OTA, Phase II - instruction, drills and team practice) and says, "Retiring? Skipping OTAs? I have no idea what you're talking about". As he smirks.

Gronk has always played hard and worked hard, throwing the switch from one to the other as the job demands. I expect the switch to flip back soon.

This is where belichick earns even more greatness if he holds everything together. The greatest coaches find a way just like red Auerbach and Phil Jackson holding together a team with huge egos. Gronk is like the Rodman of football

Is this your first visit here during the off-season? I’m sure the whole dirt bike thing is a warm up for his off time at passing camp with Brady in Montana.
