As a back by committee approach I like him. Always seems to start off strong but wears down at the end. Unlike Denver we can keep him fresh.

I assume he’s headed to Miami. They were almost willing to trade for him on the $4.5 million contract, so they’ll probably sign him as a free agent for something like $3.5 or 4 million.

As for Denver, they must be hoping they can land a guy in the draft. Otherwise they’re stuck with Booker, who’s been mediocre.

Not impossible that Saquan falls to them, but gotta think the Giants or Browns will be in on him.

Yeah but that was a long time ago in terms of RB years, even if that happened last season. Anyway I'm not interested, as you pointed out he is gonna command some significant cap, we already have Hill and Burkhead, I hope we can get a rookie in the draft to develop and keep the cap allocated to this position at a minimum.

If he's not 2 mill or less not interested.

That trade almost happened a week ago but Miami backed out.

Kinda makes the signing of Jeremy Hill look premature now.

I agree and I don't at the same time. I think Hill has better upside but Anderson has the higher floor. I don't know if Anderson would take just 1 year/$1.5M, though. I will say that I think it's stupid people are saying we shouldn't even consider Anderson, because we really don't have any good rushers (don't @ me about Burkhead or especially Gillislee).

PFF had him rated as the 6th best RB in the NFL last season.

Before the Pats signed Hill, I liked Anderson a little better for what I thought would be comparable cost, though I don't think of either one as being all that great. With Hill already on the roster at $1.33M, I don't see any compelling reason for signing Anderson.

Hill might turn out to be a "placeholder" for a rookie, anyway. It seems like the Pats may bring in a couple-three rookies - one mid/late round draftee and one or two UDFA.
