Shefter: Dez Bryant expected to be released

Odd timing for DAL. His market reportedly is not strong (but with draft lacking WR studs will be interesting to see). Best for both to cut the salary and usage by half and see what happens.

Lombardi was beating this drum the whole year. Can't get open. Romo carefully between the lines as well. DAL offence could not move the chains hanging on 50/50 balls. I wouldn't like that happening here..

Part of the Patriots 2018 strategy.
The Hollister twins.
Then the 10 year strategy to lure Jason McCourty here by employing his twin all this time.
Now sign Dev Bryant and await the opportunity to grab Dez on the cheap for the chance to play with his twin brother.

This was all born during the internal discussions around signing “Todd Brady” for four games in 2016 while Tom was “out of the country”.

One year prove it deal to get his career back on track. Sure.

its official. he's released.

Giants?

Screw the Boys.

his days as a high-impact receiver are likely over, but if he's willing to accept a cheap one-year deal to re-establish himself here as a possession/red zone threat then I guess he could be interesting. Hard to see that happening though.

Why would the giants want two diva receivers? If same division likely the redskins.
I guess one could argue that they already do when you include the head case that is Marshall.

He is COOKED. And he's a moron. Not a good fit.

As an interesting aside, the Patriots made the right choice in 2010 in McCourty.

there are still a few folks who are going to say this last part is wrong, but its so ****ing right.
