Rumored trade offers for Gronk

given what happened on the field in a spot Butler could have helped and not at least giving it a shot in the 2nd half defies your 'logic'
Convincing yourself you somehow know enough about the situation to condemn BB's decision is illogical, period. But that's never stopped you yet!

Not really. In BB's estimation Butler couldn't help at any level. I know you think thats BS but in 18 years of running the team he has never held out a player who was ready to play who he thought could help him win. Ever.

What do you believe he would fetch?

Clearly, the market greatly favors WRs over TEs. The top TEs are still making significantly less than several WRs who have been less productive catching the ball. This isn't rational, but it is what it is.

Gronk is about five years older than Cooks, much closer to the decline and end of his career than Cooks, and he has an extensive injury history that Cooks does not.

I'd be surprised if the top offer for Gronk exceed a 2nd + a 6th.

But that would be like throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Wait! I thought everyone had already been paid off to keep quiet about that little incident!

he helped on 97% of the plays the rest of the year.......your love is blind

sure he has you goddamned obnoxious twerp know-it-all...ever hear of the Browns? put me on ignore ,douchebag, so I can't rain on your pinhead anymore
I'm not talking about his time with the Browns, I meant with the Pats. See my initial post again where I specifically said the start of 2001. You may want to actually read before going on your rants. We already know what happened with the Browns. And he was on the path again with Bledsoe until Brady became Brady due to Bledsoe's injury. Not a difficult concept to understand that great players help coaches last in the NFL, especially at QB. BB has had freedom to do what he wants with the media in not explaining himself because of the greatness he has at QB. That's all I said and you found a way to get offended.

And putting people on ignore is childish.

Gronk is probably the best blocking TE in the NFL. He is as good a WR as almost all of the WR's. And yes, he is a top TE.

The issue is the OC of a team that wants to get Gronk. He is certainly worth more than Cooks to the right team. Also, age is somewhat irrelevant. I think that contract length is more important. The rams gave us a first for ONE year of Cooks. How much would we get for 1-2 years of Gronk?

And, yes, I think trading Gronk would be a terrible idea. Curiously, I think that with Edelman back, Gronk's blocking is more important than his receiving, which is top notch.

well then...take the grownup way out and kill yourself, you smarmy little pr!ck
Hey, I hope he doesn't lose it and shoot up the forum. How will you be able to look yourself in the mirror? (Geez, what a set up.)

well, we'll have to wrap him up in a KOAT with the straps and shiny buckles and ship him off to Cupcake Acres & Safe Spacetorium in Outer Mongolia

FYI....KOAT means Knower Of All Things...aka OOTI (owner of the internet)

Before I was a member, I've seen you post like this for years. To tell someone to kill themselves is totally out of line. How do you avoid getting banned from comments like this?

And Tunescribe, even though you are clearly a prick and think telling someone to kill themselves is funny, the comment I made above about comprehension was about someone else. That comment was directed towards Bruins29. This person was getting personal like Joker so I apologize.
