I think it was the right move.Wow that's great we got our first rounder back. Good ****. I'm just not confident about A. Drafting a guy that's not going to be a bust and B. Drafting the right guy and keeping him and not trading him away for absolutely NOTHING.
The Pats' receiving corps right now is:
WR Edelman (stud)
WR Hogan (solid)
WR Mitchell (solid)*
WR Britt (solid)
WR Patterson (special teams really)
WR Dorsett (better than his numbers showed, but not as good as Cooks)
WR Hollister (JAG)
TE Gronk (all-world)
TE Allen (fine)
TE Hollister (potential)
RB White (stud receiver)
RB Burkhead (excellent receiver)
*if healthy
I don't think they're done with the WRs. But on the whole, that's an outstanding group of receivers. Not just wide receivers, but ALL players who catch the ball. I expect them to add another quality WR to this group.
But yes, like every team, it's dependent on health.
You're crazy. He came up big at times for brady. He was a deep threat as well. Guy came in and was instant production. He stared picking it up. Have only one consistent deep threat. Dorsett's too inconsistent and can't run routes.
That depends on Edelman's anterior cruciate ligament and Mitchell's knee.
Let’s ALSO remember that we’ve never won a SB with an elite receiving core.
Something to think about.
Just for the drama ......................................................Anybody watching the draft this year?
It was going to be a 4th until BB realized Cooks wasn't a probowl quality quarterback.Did anyone else nearly freak out because they thought it said we only got a 4th for him? I sure did.
Another Cooks basher. He was a empty threat.
Bill wouldn't of traded him if cooks could bring the goods.
His stats lie if you ask me and he never passed the eye test.
What a load of nonsensical BS.
Three observations.
1. Rams are building an All Star team. They're in the hunt for every marquee name out there.
2. Hard to get excited about this trade. We'll either end up drafting a bust or a good player that will only end up getting traded couple years down the road for nothing.
3. BB is doing a good job of trolling Brady so far."Force me to trade my guy Jimmy? Ok ok, i'm going to crap on you in more ways than one."
Yep, this is right in the nail head bro. This off season is so bad I can’t figure it. Why not just trade brady and gronk and Edelman too?
That guy has been first on a lot of stuff before.
I for one can't wait for the draft, we actually have a reason to watch on day one.
