Is anyone worth it?
Quenton Nelson is an obvious answer. If Josh Rosen fell to 15, I'd move up and take him in a heartbeat. Roquan Smith and Derwin James are probably the only other guys. But outside of Barkley, those are my top 5 players in the draft.
There's a few guys in the next five who might still be there at 31. I have Landry and Hurst in my top 10, and Joshua Jackson hovering around it. I might be willing to move up to grab one of those guys but probably not to 15.
From 31 to 15? Not for our team’s makeup. We don’t desperately need Vita Vea or Derwin James (I admit both are studs).
From 31 to 25 is interesting. It only costs 31 + 96 & a familar friend in the Titans own that spot. Jumping 31 to 25 gives us a real shot at Landry, LVE or Evans:
31 to 15 for a pick isn't in our makeup but 31 to 25 is fine?
OK, but for me, we have 3 picks in the first two rounds and will do diligence in considering trading two of them to move up.
Obviously, trading down is more likely, however, I believe that there will be opportunities at around 15 that will be difficult to pass up; and yes, around 25 also.
It seems likely that 4 of the first 12 will be quarterbacks. That leaves a lot of very good players, one or two of whom might slip.

Of course, we could trade both our 2nds to move to about 25, and have two first rounders. IMHO, the value of the 5th year is moving higher and higher as the cost of free agents goes up and up.
The players around 15 are a few DTs, a SS, and a nickel CB (Smith & Edmunds probably won’t make it to 15).
It’s moreso the players available at 15 for me. I wouldn’t trade 31 & 43 for them.
Are you referring to Ward as a nickel CB? Or Fitzpatrick?
Nicke CB is probably inaccurate but I do think he’s more Chris Harris than a shutdown CB1. Not sold a 5’10 190 lb. CB can cover NFL WR1s.
Ward is 5017, so he's 1/8th of an inch off 5'11. Butler is 5096, and he did just fine here as our outside corner for a few years. That's also the same size as Casey Heyward, Robert Alford, Marcus Peters, Tre'Davious White, Patrick Robinson, etc -- they all had pro bowl caliber seasons recently. Ward also has long arms, impeccable technique, and incredible leaping ability (best broad jump / vertical jump combo at the Combine this year). Multiple receivers said that he was the most difficult corner they faced, and extremely difficult to separate from. He even covered TEs at times for Ohio State despite the size difference. In fact, check out his coverage and interception against Troy Fumagalli, a 6'5 TE for Wisconsin:
Ward showed more consistency on tape than Gilmore. He's an inch shorter, but otherwise is faster and more explosive. I like Gilmore, but I think Ward would surpass him in time as a true #1. He's been well coached with the connection to Schiano, who also worked with the Rutgers quattro of McCourty x2, Harmon, and Ryan. I can't think of a better replacement and upgrade for Butler. To me that's well worth two picks.
Not a fan of giving up the first two picks to get anything other than a LT, and I’m not sure these LTs are worth that. If there was a Tyrone Smith then sure but there’s a LT of question marks about this group (yet to watch McGlinchey). If you think Kolton Miller can be the next Nate Solder, then I’d consider 31 and 63. I just think LT is too big a need to risk waiting until 63 to get one.
