I think Box has left the mortal coil, Stoney....last year I believe
Maybe a bit longer than last year. I wished I had gotten more personal info in our side talks, I take real life for granted when I’m a patsfan. He was like you, one of a kind.

Danny Shelton had 0 sacks last year and a total of 1.5 sacks in his three-year career and is primarily a run-stopper. Clayborn had 6 of his 9.5 sacks in one game and arrives with considerable injury concern. If you are highly satisfied and think that this is enough to improve the pass rush your standards must be very low.
Arguably the best way to improve a pass rush is to improve run defense and put offenses in situations where you can attack their passing game better.
We replaced an oversized DE with a run stuffing big DT and Cassius marsh/Eric lee with a stout 280 lb de to set the edge.
Then we get Hightower back.

JPP sucks. He makes one play every couple of games but since it’s a stat people think he can play. With 2 hands he was overrated, now he is a liability.

Your inability to grasp simple concepts is not my problem. Feel free to substitute Gronk's 2012 deal as an example, if you prefer.

And, hey, how much more cap hit is there when an injury prone player signs for $10m guaranteed than when a never injured player signs for $10m guaranteed? What's the risk differential?
Gronk had never missed a game before 2012.

as are you...never sell yourself short on this board.

Completely overpaid. Makes no sense. It's not like Tampa Bay is 8.5 sacks away from being a contender.

He was overpaid by NY. Sadly what he's getting from TB is inline with what big ticket DE's are getting.

His two full seasons since coming back from the injury he has has 7.0 sacks and 8.5. In his entire career he has hit double digit sacks only twice. Once at 12.5 and at an elite level with 16,5- all the way back in 2011. I would not consider him a big ticket DE.

Big ticket as in what they are getting paid, not necessarily what they put on the stat sheet. I don't have to like it or agree with it to recognize it has become a functional reality. The top of the position is almost as overpaid (as a % of the cap) as WR. My point being Pierre-Paul isn't so much overpaid as the position is. From time to time it's almost as though a kind of institutional madness sets in. The rising tide concept did the same with the safety position over the past few years as well, although that market seems to be undergoing the beginnings of a correction.
