Only the top 51 cap hits count from now until cutdowns in September. So ...

You take McClellin's $2.35 out of the top 51, and then move the top cap hit from below the line up - that's Langi at $560k.

So, the net gain should be $2.35M minus $560k = $1.79M.

Every time the Pats add a player, the board fills up with remarks from other boards saying how X fans who know the team say so-and-so stinks.

McClellin reportedly wants to continue playing. I hope he doesn't incur additional head damage. I remember seeing films of some NFL players who stayed around too long and it wasn't pretty. He's got a SB ring, good way to end a career.
