Good God, why are so many people acting like McClellin signed a $40 million guaranteed contract and his signing set them the team back a decade? I simply don't get the hatred. He had some quality moments but didn't fully live up to his contract. News flash: that describes half the players in the NFL.

Because he was hot garbage in Chicago, and was no longer a fit here once Bill changed the defense from the one used during the First Dynasty.
Chicago, running a 4-3 at the time of the 2012 draft, also screwed up by drafting McClellin, a pure 3-4 OLB, in the first place.
