WTF his superbowl wins have anything to do with it, moron? The guy is a stud, and a great insurance to Gronk.

Graham is a big, slow and (now) aging WR who doesn't block nearly as well as Betty White does. Even if the Pats had the cap space - which they definitely don't - I wouldn't want him.

Not according to Breeland.
Yeah, I dunno that I’d claim that he sucks like that specific poster did. He had 19 passes defended last year, including a 96 yard pick six.

In his four year career, he’s picked off the same number of passes as Malcolm Butler (8), forced almost twice as many fumbles (7 to 4), defended more passes highlighted by his 19 last year (59 to 50), and scored a TD. In those four years, he’s been reasonably durable, never playing in less than 14 games.

Agree. I was "quipping" again.

Although, it is kind of amusing how Breeland was his own most vocal cheerleader heading into FA. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

You mean the one who sat Butler and came up with an ingenious plan to lose us the SB? Got it.

lol.. portions of this entitled ****stain of a fanbase really deserve to live through another decade of total irrelevance where you go 6-10 or 7-9 forever..

This coaching staff somehow pushed this carcass of a front seven into a SB by schemeing around a total lack of a run defense and the only thing that remains is "HE LOST US THE SB"..

Miguel has us at $21,195,108. @patscap on Twitter. He's a must follow.

One more note from Miguel for those who care:
Players who's option was not picked up do count for comp pick (if signed by another team of course): f.e. Branch.

And for those who don't care: even low comp picks are significant roster builders (that increase trade opportunities/flexibility), not only through draft (as picks or trade assets) . even more so for in-season trades for vets on economical deals (f.e. KVN, M.Flowers, Bademosi lately). Thats why when BB trades he tries to include a lower pick in return so he prefers to give f.e. 4th rounder for a player & 6th in return than give straight 5th. Shelton's trade is of course the latest example.

He doesnt even play the same position as Gronk. How can he be his insurance..

Jesus..

I kinda miss the old days when there’d be no moves before the starting day of FA, and the moves were like wildfire all at once.

The Patriots seem to still kinda do things that way.

Williamson gets 3-years, $22.5M with $16M guaranteed.

That was cheap. I don't know if Pats were interested. They could match this.

One factor to consider when looking at Pats potential FA signings and draft picks is that, with Lewis and Dola both gone, the Pats are now missing their both their top put returner and top kick returner.

If Dorsett is smart, he will have started studying and practicing returning punts and kicks by about February 6th.

As you know, I'm not sure the Pats could (or would) match that. However, the Jets now have a pretty decent run-stopping tandem at ILB with Williamson and Demario Davis.

These crazy deals for TEs who can't block must be killing Gronk..

I think it's the guaranteed money that might be getting under Gronk's skin a bit. Gronk doesn't have anymore coming to him on his current contract, aside the the last two $2M payments on his signing bonus.

The Pats might want to try to find a way to fix that.

Patriots have made a contract offer to A.J. McCarron, per source.

Is this kid good?

I know this is sacrilege but I hope Bob Kraft becomes involved to re-sign Solder
and protect his very good buddy, Tom Brady.

Davis is UFA. If he stays behind on FA frenzy might be an option. BB loves him.
But Jetes are set to bring him back..

Now, there could be a relatively cheap option for an eventual slot replacement. The problem is that we have a crowded receivers room and that Eli is coming off of a torn ACL in the playoff game. He’ll be PUP’ed at the very least, which may even work to our benefit in terms of roster spots, I suppose.

He seemed to be on a fast track in PIT but they went in a different direction last season with Bell and Brown accounting for most of the offense, plus the return of Bryant.

One free agent to watch today: #Patriots LT Nate Solder. As of last night, it sounded like #Giants or #Texans… and there wasn’t a lot of optimism that he’d return to New England. - Ian Rapopport
