Sherman Signs with 49ER'S (Updated)

Yeah, I agree - if he signs here, it will be a Revis like contract where there's "only" a $7M cap hit in year 1 but there's actual real money given to him because the structure is $10M signing bonus, 2 year deal, $2M base, $20M option bonus for 2019.

Would be history repeating itself again, too. Miss out on Talib, sign someone better (at least in 2014) in Revis; miss out on Talib again, hopefully wind up signing someone better in Sherman.....

I'm in the minority because I don't want him. He's an arrogant **** and even in our colors it would be hard to root for him. I could easily see him causing problems for us anyway. He is super outspoken and I don't think he would take well to being muzzled once he gets here.

No

Sherman is a smart, educated man. He's his own agent, so I'm sure he knows how these things work out. If he's healthy, he'll have to decide which will net him the most money: Finding the maximum deal he can right now, or taking something shorter with a great team (like the Patriots), proving he's still the same guy in a high profile situation, then cashing in on the next contract, like Revis did.

Colts have never had a coach on San Francisco’s level

I was just referring to the number of former Patriots players on their roster ... Sheard, Mingo, Darius Butler, that former safety/ST who Gronk "threw out of the club".

It's only arrogance if you don't back it up. For example, Steelers DBs predicting big wins over the Pats and then being made to look like the incompetent fools they are.

Pats will have a look a Jeremy Lane...

Idk how much he commands in the open market, but nabbing both of them would be a win-win for us.

They have chemistry together already, and we would be looking at:

Gilmore
Sherman
Lane

Stop being a baby and clicking “disagree” simply because I did it to you.

Alternatively, instead of clicking disagree, you could post a comment explaining why your disagree.

Inquiring minds want to know.

He responded within a minute of me disagreeing...he’s seems sensitive.

Anyway, he’s not going back to seattle since those are the qualities he’s looking for in his NEXT team.
