Suh will not be given enough $ here. Poe? Maybe.Dolphins suppose to release Suh I prefer Poe but both would look great on our d line.

Oddly aggressive. Seems a bit much to give up for an older player. Let’s imagine it is true. We can no longer technically rule out anyone making that type of money coming to the team. Bill clearly sees a need on the D-Line and is hell bent on getting it fixed, and sadly being willing to give up a 3rd and a 5th for Bennett might also point to how B.B. and Co. actually see the talent level in this draft. If that’s the case, really disappointed. That 3rd for 5th and Bennett rumor seems a bit off since its a bit much to trade away for him. I don't think that's something the Patriots would actually offer.
If it is, it highlights the VERY aggressive GM approach that Belichick has been adopting recently.

I’m thinking that maineman is onto something with the wording here, because I agree that giving up a 3+5 would seem to be really odd.It was stated unclearly, but I think the deal was supposed to be read as, the Pats trade a 3rd for (Bennett + a 5th). The Eagles traded a 5th for (Bennett + a 7th).
There's some talent on the d line in this draft if they get someone earlier. I am surprised belichick would give up a 3rd just like that.
Losing to the Eagles again. Is it wrong to hope for a meteor to crush them.

NE only offered a 3rd round pick for Bennett and a 5th round pick.Oddly aggressive. Seems a bit much to give up for an older player. Let’s imagine it is true. My apologies. It does appear that I read that wrong. Thanks.I’m thinking that maineman is onto something with the wording here, because I agree that giving up a 3+5 would seem to be really odd.
Kind of sucks that we missed out on this one.
Damn, flowers and Bennett lined up on the inside on passing downs would of been nice.
Well we offered a 3rd for Bennett. Seattle only got a 5th rounder and an undrafted WR in return from the Eagles. So maybe they were afraid to deal Bennett to the Pats but would rather face Bennett on a team that is in the same conference in the Eagles?
Doesn't quite make sense to me. IMO a 3rd is more valuable than a 5th and a UDFA WR who had 5 catches for 45 yards last year.
I've heard this a few times in various places but it doesn't make sense. They'd save less than $4M in cap space and incur over $22M in dead money. They would save $28M on next season's cap, though only $17M would be from salary.
BTW, what a terrible contract. Gotta love the Lolphins.
Seattle has 3 5th round picks #4,9,and 31(formerly ours) if they were offering the 4th of the 5th round the 46 spots is correct any of the others and you need to add the drop of spots to the 46. I find it odd that Seattle would pass on getting a third round pick from us considering they don't have one in the third round. The loss of one of their fifth round picks (three of them) would be minimal. Does anyone else think that the return to the Pats on trades is somewhat low balled? Mainman do you think BB would be in on Poe? I would love having a big fatty to provide cover for some athletic linebackers.
