Dion Lewis = $6.5 Mill?

The SB showed that we need a power back. Could have used some Blount Force Trauma.

HUH?? The running game had nothing to do with the loss in the SB..

One of Lewis' beefs is that he felt that the Patriots didn't use him enough in the SB. With him being the best weapon out of the backfield and only getting 28% of the snaps, that would give credence to his belief. What was mind-boggling to me is that in the short-yardage situations during the SB, the Pats went to White, running the ball up the middle.. Which has never been White's strong suit..

In all honesty, the play call for a pass on 2-2 from the NE 33 was what killed the Pats. Had they run the ball with Lewis there, Brady doesn't get sacked and the Eagles aren't able to put up 9 consecutive points.

A million here, a million there...pretty soon they're talking real money

James White 9 touches for 66 yards in SB52. If only we had Dion Lewis on the field.

Good luck Dion. You will get your wish on another team with top 10 RB $ & bellcow usage. At 5’8” 195 lbs. I’m not sure how that will go.

4 rushes up the middle for a whopping 9 yards for White. (2.25 YPC)
3 rushes up the middle for 19 yards by Lewis. (6.33 YPC)

Care to rethink that..

Then you must not have ever watched him because he flat out sucks.
Cost Cincy the playoff game a couple years ago vs. Pittsburgh on a late fumble. Not to mention he *****es a lot. Not Patriots material.

He’s just ineffective when it matters. He is one of those guys who puts up average numbers but doesn’t actually help you win. He’s the opposite of guys like Amendola, whose numbers never jump out at you but is great when you need a play made. Hill started out decent in Cindy but he has become worse over time. He is not a guy you want on this team.

Lewis is right. He's the better player and, in theory, he should have gotten more touches. Arguing against that just by throwing up a stat line is folly.

After L1 , I don’t have a problem with White getting a lot of carries. I wish Lewis would stay but I am thinking it’s not in the cards

It’s certainly up for debate who’s the better receiver. Considering we we’re in come from behind/pass for 500 yards mode; not cut in dry.

EDIT: Eh maybe you’re right. Rough day at work. I need a snickers.

Saban: If Bo Scarborough is still there in the 4th, you should scoop him up.
BB: Nick, the kid has no hands. Bricks.
Saban: Neither does Blount. Now he's getting fitted by his jeweler for a new ring.
BB: I will ***** slap you, shorty.

Blounts hands were ok. The issue was always his inability to be competent in pass protection.
