Well at least now we know what happened. Good that they caught all of that. Seems like something that he should be able to overcome and hopefully be out there this preseason and camp.

It was quite bizarre that he showed up for practice, left early, and was never seen again. It all makes sense now, though. He started running around and couldn’t breathe, I assume.

That's actually encouraging. I was worried he was going to be blacklisted forever or something. What a bizarre rookie class, all things considered.

It's only encouraging if the clotting risk is not chronic, ala Chris Bosh, the NBA player who has not been medically cleared to play because he has to stay on anti-clotting meds. Hopefully there was a non-genetic cause that has been identified and fixed.

I would think that there is/has been. Otherwise, I have my doubts that they would keep him on the roster.

Re-sign Solder;
Re-sign one of Waddle/Fleming;
Draft an OT on day 3 who is Not a RT-Only;
Any contributions from Boney Tony should be henceforth considered an unexpected bonus.

If you resign solder, go after a guy like Geron Christian, from Louisville. Coach him up as the eventual replacement. Should still be there late 3rd, 4th round

Health? He's been dead over 20 years now!

I almost called this "winner". I believe that we need to draft the OT of the future on Say 1 or Day 2.

Good news for Garcia. Much better than some of the other ailments that I was afraid may have caused him to lose lots of weight.

Not a good draft for tackles. Looking at whats out there in FA I think the only shortterm options are paying Solder or moving Cannon to LT and running with that.

My read on all of the draft precautions and medical metrics are ineffective in that whole process.. glad to hear he has recovered, but will need to proceed with an abundance of precaution.. What is your PT-INR Tony?? The secret language of those involved in anti-coagulation therapy.

Gotta wonder also about how Keionta Davis is doing.

IIRC, he was being discussed as a late Day-2/early Day-3 pick before his Combine medical exam discovered a bulging disk in his neck that he didn't even know he had. He wasn't even signed as a UDFA until the Pats signed him to the standard 3-year contract a couple weeks into 2017 Camp.

From what I read about Davis' issue, since he wasn't even aware of it and surgery was not recommended, it sounds like the type that goes away on its own, eventually. I had the same thing, and, although I was in extreme discomfort due to the direction of the bulge, the recommended treatment was just to let it go away. Took a few months, but it did.

I didn't think we'd be able to rely on this kid ever again, considering the "NFI" he had and no news about it came forth. I hope he makes a Marcus Cannon type recovery and contributes almost as much.

Did he lose weight? He was already undersized and needed to put on 20-30 lbs. Hope this illness didn't hamper those efforts.

Very scary, but luckily he is ok. I just wonder how it will be getting him back into football shape.
