Lamar Jackson - Traits That Translate 2

Couldn't agree more. Been raving about him for a while. Think he could be very good for us. Give him a year or two, the longer the better to develop behind Brady and he could be very good for us. He has the arm talent to make all throws, as well as this he has a quite a good touch throw to.

The one thing he needs to improve is when he runs, he needs to slide don't want him to be taking hits in the pros.

I'd happily take him with our first round pick, so we get that extra year.

Think the biggest issue is we just don't have enough picks for this to be done this year.

He's my fave QB of this years draft. The guy is insane. Has all the traits you look for.

I'd love to see him back up Brady for two years.

Get the O-Line and a good running game sorted for Lamar Jackson and that could take the pressure of him. I just don't see him falling to us unfortunately.

Yea I've always been a fan but when I really looked into him & his situation he's a great fit here. Him sitting & learning here for 2-3 years would be the ideal match. Get him w/ our staff & surround him w/ NFL talent & our run will continue.

Small chance he makes it out lottery but I'd be all for using our 1/SF'S 2nd, 6th & a future 2nd to get around 12-15 to get him.



I think Rosen, Allen, Darnold, Mayfield, Barkley, Minkah, James, Chubb, Davenport, Nelson, Smith, (Enter a CB or 2) could all go in front of him. Crazier things have happened?




I don't buy the Polian stupidity (and frankly many others, it's frightening how many thought he won't play QB) & this proves the point that these guy really aren't the end all, be all of football intelligence. Polian thought Manziel was a top 5 pick btw.


I would be shocked if there aren't several teams already in love w/ him.


I think Denver, Arizona & N.O. are all teams that will interested besides the regulars.

I noticed this when breaking him down as well in the s/c & piece I wrote. People really haven't watched him & haven't a clue. Kiper doesn't care about evaluating or being right anymore. It's more than clear Polian, Kiper & co don't know what their talking. Kiper talks up guys to build relationships & Polian thought Manziel was a top 5 pick among many other disasters. If they’re going to trade up, it needs to be for Mayfield. Field general, competitive as hell, had to work for everything he got, and he would come into camp from Day 1 looking to unseat Brady which would push Brady. The maturity will come with age and with being in the right environment. He also said he wants to learn from Brady and pick his brain.

Allen was pressured on 39 percent of his dropbacks in 2017, per ProFootballFocus, completing 52 percent of such throws; Rosen was pressured on 30 percent of his dropbacks and completed 69 percent of his throws; and Jackson was pressured on 34 percent of his dropbacks, finishing with a 66 percent completion percentage under pressure.


Allen’s drop percentage was 7.84 percent in 2017, per ProFootballFocus. That total puts him 20th among draft-eligible quarterbacks. It’s a figure that pales in comparison to Baker Mayfield’s 9.49 percent, Rosen’s 11 percent, and Lamar Jackson’s 12.4 percent (Yeesh, can we please get Lamar some help?).

PFF’s QB rating stat that takes into account dropped passes, throwaways, spikes, and yards in the air. Jackson ranked 10th in the country with a 97.47 rating. Pretty good. Allen and USC’s Sam Darnold, who might end up going first and second overall? Allen comes in at 80th, and Darnold at 52nd. Just as a passer alone, Jackson blows those two out of the water.

Been a "binky" although I'm trying not to use that term anymore for about 2 years. Such a fireball.

Jackson didn't walk on but he has that warrior mentality as well. He's much younger & has arguably the highest ceiling in the draft.

I'd be very happy with either.

Btw I'm not sure Bill could handle Gronk & Baker on the same team lol.
