JOSH IS STAYING!!

Josh will still be a hot commodity next year because Brady and Belichick will both still be there so he can write his own ticket again if he wants to leave.
After this debacle he won’t be getting offers any time soon time

Highly doubt it. I can see Brady pushing Kraft to get rid of Grops. I can see Brady talking to Josh directly and presuading him to stay. I CANNOT see Brady getting involved in who's going to be the head coach, especailly during a time he may not be even quarterbacking anymore.
Brady proved against Jacksonville and Philadelphia that Tom Brady would make the best coach of this team. When he took over in the hurry up, things happened. Josh is a great coach, but Brady is the real genius and difference maker here. And Belichick, the defensive guru, managed alongside Matty P. to allow 41. For a while I thought this recent dynasty (2014-) was about Belichick, but at this point it seems to have more to do with Tom Brady and Josh McDaniels. Let's let an outsider coach this defense with a new scheme and see how we do. That will tell us a lot about Belichick's impact or lack thereof as a head coach on the defensive side of the ball. In all honesty, I think Belichick is still a mastermind. But he has too much to do with the GM work and head coaching. He needs to scale back as he enters his twilight years.

Man, I hope dearest Abigail is handling this well.

Ok haha I’m dead...mainly because my name is Abigail. (Great name I know) and yes I’m handling this fine..I think..

Morons....

An LOI or a MOU is not a legal document.

****heads
They certainly can be, depending on how they are written. However, I don't think the NFL allows anything official before the coach's season ends so I don't think they would come into play here.

lol... Tweet from this morning:

Greg Gabriel? @greggabe
For some unknown reason @ProFootballTalk keeps trying to tell us McDaniels waffled some before being named HC by Colts. Never happened. A figment of their imagination

I have not read past the first page. Should I be happy?? I’m confused..is Bill leaving?? Really don’t know how to feel about this..

x2 Love it, but what the hell is going on lately??? As a Patriots fan, I'm accustomed to calm stability and this season has confused me. This tumult must be what it's like to be a fan of the other 31 teams. Anyway, hopefully, since Tom loves Josh so much, he's staying, Bill's staying, and we get a brilliant and aggressive D coordinator to rescue us from bend-but-don't-break.

What are you talking about ? The Colts confirmed it all in a press release and cancelled tmws press conference.

The news that Judge will also stay with the Pats also has been out for at least 30 minutes.

ty for the update on Joe... wife is watching the cure of oak island.... my options are limited on info gathering, and been too busy reading about Josh

Hmmmm.

I'm certain its similar to 100 other ones they've had.

Topic: The Next One.( SB or HC?)

"Hey, I've got an idea!"

This was a Red Auerbach move by Bob Kraft.

Lol hell yeah fu (k the Colts

I've never made a MOU legal enough to stand up in court. Unless there is financial investment/penalty for non-compliance its worthless. Not in my best interest

You're pretty far down this rabbit hole I take it.

Far enough down it that you're sure about the details of the MB deal, and you're sure that his absence is responsible for the entirety of the 41 points the defense gave up.

He was touted throughout the year as a possible Belichick heir. This Sunday, you cannot say Matt Patricia burnished his resume. You can only say you have a hypothetical excuse for the performance of the defense.

On the other hand, you can say without doubt that the offense is continuing to play very well.

Understand we're talking about coordinators, and in BB's case, the coach. It won't do much good to say "yeah but the offense has Tom Brady." They can't very well judge coordinators independent of their performance on their side of the ball.

Props to Matt P. on his body of work, and good luck to him in Detroit. I'm not talking him down. Just letting you know, coordinators are going to be judged on their performance, not any excuses we come up with for them... and SBs are disproportionately weighed vs. regular season work.

Let me spell it differently for you: Butler on the field would have contributed to at least 1 if not more Eagles drives that ended up in points, to end up in a 3-and-out instead. Given that except for one Eagles drive, all ended in points, stopping them on at least ONE drive would have been the difference to give us the win. And if that was the case (Brady hoisting the Lombardi), no one would have counted points or even cared to remember that the Eagles pounded points down our throats. We're only talking about it now because we lost the game. And I think, personally, just my opinion, that we ended up losing that game because our whole defense had to shift due to Butler's absence. Take it however you want. Patricia can only work with whatever Belichick hands him.

I love the move while Josh is an OC and Brady is here.

I don't want him as a head coach especially after Brady, how often have people on this board say Pats assistants fail as head coaches because they try and be Bill, well no one tries harder to be Bill than Josh McDaniels.

The Colts look like a bunch of idiots, Josh looks like the slimey weasel everyone in Denver said he was.

Everyone loses even the Patriots who probably just promised him a head coaching job in the future.
Josh being a slimy weasel to the rest of the NFL is exactly why he will thrive here as head coach. Like it or not, we do things the sleazy lawyer way up here and it has brought home the bacon more often than not. Oh well. Let's hope he has learned from his failures in Denver and is ready to dish out the outrage rather than take it when he takes over from Bill.

Can't argue with that. I think this whole dysnasty has more to do with Brady than Belichick - JMO
