Not sure why everyone is freaking out saying Bill is leaving (or, incredibly, being fired)... it is likely much more simply that Kraft gave him a nice raise to stay in NE and Josh decided it’s better for his family. Beyond that, Josh is still quite young and he can easily afford to wait a few years for Bill to retire, especially if he’s being paid well.

Additionally, if Caserio intends to stay long-term, it makes sense for Josh to see how it’s sensible to remain here and work with him after Bill retires. Again, assuming he’s being paid well to do so.

Did we not just watch him call a game where his offense SHREDDED a very talented Philly D? When his top receiver got knocked out extremely early on??

I mean damn, yes he has the GOAT QB but the guy called a really good game overall. How many other teams scored seemingly at will on Philly this season? With even an average defensive effort it would’ve been a hefty win in the other direction.

I watched a game where he got really cute and because of it we fell behind in pace scoring wise.

Second half the offense took off because bag if trick plays was dropped.

McDaniels is so talented and yet he out coaches him self way too often.

Whatever Kraft told Josh, it obviously had something to do with Belichick's future. No way McDaniels makes this kind of sacrifice otherwise. He will never receive any head coach offers after this.

Interesting. They must have promised him that he will be BB's successor when he retires, whenever that may be. I don't think BB is going anywhere for next season, but who knows after that. I'm glad for Brady that Josh is staying. It would be hard to start over with someone new at this stage of his career.
