Hopefully Rivers can come back and make an impact next year. LB needs to be addressed first.

Perhaps next time they should bring a balance team to the big dance so that Brady won't have to throw for 500 yard and lose. We were supposed to blitz for 6...i saw no blitzing last night.

Perhaps next year they'll have figured out a way to have top-notch, off-roster replacements standing by for every player who get injured.

Not just LB. I think we need a DT that can collapse the pocket a little. Someone mentioned Poe but he could be expensive. Idk.

I’d love to see what this coaching staff can do with Poe, but he’ll probably cost more than they’re willing to spend.

3 weeks to the combine woohoo

Where dreams begin

I love the off-season... unless a gate gets opened

(I've learned to channel my disappointment in the knowledge that I've seen 5 wins.. sometimes you got to sit back and realise that **** is amazing)

They need to seriously add talent on the defense. Too reliant now on Brady. 500 passing yards, 613 yards on offense, and it's not enough to win?

The worst is the Butler situation. BB plays Butler I have no doubt they win. The way that went down yesterday does make me think something is going on with this team. Really not happy.

Disagree, people seem to forget Phili did the same against a great deal better defence than ours in the NFC championship game!.

Blount - Was a keeper
Edelman bad luck injury
Hightower Injury
Butler Would have possibly won us an extra drive instead of Adabisi
Cooks bad luck injury

Please no more mistakes, Blount and Butler would have put us over the top.

Instead of Burkhead/Gillesei I thought we' would have gone after these positions, now we can do it for 2018.

Cover & Run stop lb - Above average CB or 2, DT-DE needed, Cover safety...Buffalo will have some for sale soon! Poyer Gaines types needed badly.

Maybe they can go the Denver route where they invest heavily on defense like Peyton Manning last few seasons. Go out with a bang, followed by Brady retirement after 2 straight super bowl wins! Well, one can wish.. :D

We'll have 8 in camp, the 6 you mention plus Britt and Hollister.

I'm thinking we might keep 6 receivers. Dorsett has made himself indispensable, and Amendola will not play much during the regular season.

I don’t see the D trending in the right direction. I see BB going back to finding guys like deltha, Wheatley, wilhite, dowling and that sort.

Our DEs suck.....our LBs suck

DT is ok but need to find a fat guy to replace branch....brown and guy we’re pretty good and not a liability

Too bad Belichick gave Jimmy away for peanuts. Would have been great to reload this draft.

Right on the money. I said it after #5, the rest is gravy. Like everyone else I would have loved the win, but sh.t happens, so deal with it. As disappointing as it is i would rather look at what they need to do to give it another shot next year. I’m definitely concerned about losing guys like Lewis and Burkhead, but look at the bright side, we don’t have to worry about losing Butler anymore.

Gotta love the revisionist history on LeGarrette Blount. 90% of this board was happy to see him go. I like the guy but the people claiming he was a leader are high, and the 10% who wanted him to stay actually got high with LeGarrette.

Running back was a real strength for this team, re-signing Lewis and Burkhead is a priority imo.

How much could they afford to pay Lewis realistically?

Not enough imo. I think the market will offer more than the Patriots will be willing to pay. It’s going to be a significant loss. I hope I’m wrong because I love what he brings to this team.

We can afford 5m. I doubt if anybody goes higher. He is a rb with 2 torn
acl's. We can save a little too by releasing Gillislee. Will make it easier
to sign Rex. On offense, the only question marks to me are two.
1. Will Gronk retire? I doubt it. I'd give him more guaranteed money to
ensure he comes back.

2. Solder. We don't have a LT if he retires. I'm paying him too.

We have a great offense with those moves.

I was saying back in November that we were bad/terrible at LB, and that's been the case all season. It was a perfect storm really - McClellin went down in pre-season, Hightower after a few games, and Harris never did anything on the field.

On top of that, Elandon Roberts hasn't matured into a starting ILB who doesn't guess on every play, and Jamie Collins can tell him what happens to those guys.

I like Kyle Van Noy, but he was basically on his own out there. These days, LBs have to be able to tackle, beat blockers (seriously, did anyone else notice just how well the Eagles blocked on offence?) and cover RBs/slot WRs.

We'll get back Hightower and McClellin, but I think we need to double-dip at LB in the draft this year, including at least one Day 1/2 pick.
