Who fell down on that 3rd and 7 td that won the game

You'e telling me butler couldn' of gone out there and fell down?

Who do you think was on that coverage? None other than BBs favorite player. Dmac had a bad game, burned on the clement td as well

We were outcoached, period. I love myself some BB, but Philly coached better in this particular game and Bill as great as he is, made a few questionable decisions.
I am glad you have the temperament to call it questionable. To me it is a monumental **** up that would and should see any other coach run out of town. It’s inexcusable, he sabotaged his own team. If it was another sport we would be asking who got paid to fix the game.

I just couldn't make out the number. Im.just now bringing my self to watch highlights.

So sad

The benching of Malcolm Butler + potentially hiring Greg Schiano over promoting Brian Flores could honestly leave some marks in the locker room for a bit.

I like how Kraft has shown to let the coaches run the organization. It’s a big reason for our success.

That being said, I’m all for Kraft getting involved if need be to not hire schiano.

We will never find out the truth. This team has a lack of talent on the defensive side of the football and now you're benching one of your best players? I still can't fathom what the heck was BB doing?

Kraft intervening is what' fueling the rumors that **** is going south right now.

Frankly. Either bill was on board with that defensive plan out there or allowed it to continue for the eagles to score that many times in a row.

So if bill wants to pick up his ball and go home because his boss told him no for the first time in 18 years than he can **** him self.

Assuming it's all true.

Bill may very well be over rated in defense.

I mean. This game is on his resume and that' a fact.
Kony Ealy
Cassius Marsh
Jordan Richards
Geneo Grissom
David Harris
Johnson Bademosi

Toss in the mystery of Malcolm Butler for good measure.

Just either get rid of Tom or Bill so fans can get their answer. I was a fan and season ticket holder long before Bill and Tom got here and hopefully health and age will allow me to be one long after they are gone. That said I want Bill and Tom together as long as possible but it seems there is a significant portion of the fan base that has to know who is responsible for this tremendous run we've been privelaged to witness.

We already know. We don’t need a breakup to find out.

Butler isn't going to be here next year. Trust me, his agents going to get word out on what happened.

If you can’t see that Belichick deserves the blame and was severely out coached, then I can’t help you. He saved his worst for last. Maybe spend more time figuring out how to win instead of going to a ****ing Timberwolves game. I’ll never forgive him for that and benching Butler because of his own ego. He and Patricia lost this game, plain and simple, extremely obvious. No 2nd half adjustments (only offensively), no chances taken by the defense. Foles was NEVER touched. It was basically the same as the KC game. He thought that just by showing up, the other team would cower in fear of his greatness. His own ego helped him lose this game.

How's he gonna do that, since nobody who knows seems to be willing to explain why?

Yeah, I love McCourty and think he's a HOF caliber safety, but this game will not go on his highlight reel to say the least. Although I think the difference between him playing well and playin g poorly is the difference between surrendering 34 and 40. He's not why the pats lost by any stretch

I disagree. I agree that BB was out-coached but not for the reasons you site.

Benching Butler possibly had more ramifications than just the X’s and O’s. That decision right before kickoff could not have gone over well in the locker room.

At this level these guys are all tremendous athletes, what wins and loses games is mental toughness. Dropping a turd in the locker room right before the game doesn’t exactly bring the team together.

According to our own patsfans article, Butler showed up to Minneapolis a full day late. The link about the porous defense costing us the SB is right on the front page.

Canton? Look I know he’s done things on the field that don’t show up in the statbook but I think pats ring of honor is Dmacs ceiling.

Well let's see.

Brady:
-led the final game winning drive vs the Rams
-came back from two 4th quarter deficits against the Panthers
-left the field against the Giants late in the 4th quarter twice
-tied the largest comeback in Super Bowl history vs a great Seattle defense
-came back from 28-3 against Atlanta
-put up 505 yards, 3TD's, 117 passer rating and led his offense to 33 points an no punts.

Belichick
-good defensive performance against the Rams until they gave up 14 points in the 4th quarter to tie the game up late
-defense gave up two late 4th quarter leads against the Panthers
-defense needed one stop against the Giants to seal the game and couldn't do it in both 07 and 11
-after Brady made a comeback his defense allowed Seattle to march to the 1 yard line with less than a minute on the clock
-got down by 28 points and needed Tom Brady heroics
-his defense gave up 41 points in a Super Bowl.

One guy is has the rep of being a clutch QB who always gives his team the chance to win. One guy is has the reputation of being a defensive savant. Somehow one guy's defense always needs the other guy to bail him out.

Now I'll be fair and say I'm probably venturing into hyperbole and being too hard on Belichick. But let's be honest here, the man owe's a lot to the fact that he has Brady.

This really highlights the main takeaway from that Parcells/Belichick documentary

Parcells was always better as a "big picture"/getting a feel for his players guys while Bill has always been the details guy. Obviously BB has proven to have the better career, but a guy like Parcells to tell BB "the **** are you doing? We're not benching Butler" would have been nice...

Butler was told to come late because he was getting IV treatments back home.
