"Expert" predictions thread

The Patriots D just scares me to death!

My only worry is that they need to force more turnovers. It's been a while. I'm sure we'll give up yards, but they always rise to the challenge. Plus seems like the pass rush has really picked up this postseason.

I think when there are two teams left, it's all about pumping up the average players to be stars, and everyone seems to think that we are just Brady, Gronk and Amendola on third downs.

I have not heard any of the Philly media even mention much about Cooks, Hogan and any of our running backs.
Good point.
Good teams are usually good because of small weaknesses rather than enormous strengths but the media thinks you must have to be a team of stars to be there.

He predicts 23-20 Eagles.

The way he was talking last week sounded like he didn’t think the Pats would have a chance.

He picked Pats-Vikings in the championship round, so he's going with the team that ruined his predictions.

Cant wait to see the Chris Carter, Ladanlian Thomlinson, Chris Mortensen, Chris Simms, Donovan McNabb, Bart Scott, Bill Polian, Tony Dungy, Tom Jackson, Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, Jerry Rice, Mark Brunell, Jon Tomase, Mike Greenberg picks. Who did I miss?

Kellerman, Rob Parker, Ryan Clark, Shannon Sharpe, that goof Murray on Felger & Mazz, and Nick Wright.

Pretty sure McNabb & Faulk are fired from their jobs.

The defense is frustrating on 3rd downs at times and until mariota had injured his quads , he was able to run well against us on 3rd down. Plus the whole cross route/west coast based andy reid style offense scares me.

Not shocking with some pats haters lol. Ryan Clark, Keyshawn Johnson, Chris Mortesen etc. I can't stand trey wingo either.

It seems a lot of people expect a close game because the pats hardly blow anybody out in these Super Bowls.

On the football fix show they had the records of bertrand, kelly and the other guy, forget his name all have a worse record this year picking games than a 1 year old baby. They put papers with the logo of the Pats and the team they're playing and which ever paper she picks, that's her pick, and shes killing the adults.
The baby picked the Pats for the super bowl.

Some names to Remember.

Mike Golic 31-10 Eagles **
Eric Williams 28-17 Eagles
Mike Drago 35-24 Eagles
Chris Mortensen 34-24 Eagles
Adam Teicher 27-17 Eagles

If you have the Eagles winning that is fine. Just anyone who thinks it will be a double digit win is just being provocative IMO.
the 10-11 point predictions dont bother me that much. GoLics prediction however is absurd

Interesting that Mike Reiss, usually conservative with score predictions, has Pats 31-17. That feels right to me.
But I really don't give a damn about the score, I just want the W.

Eagles score a late td to make it look closer than it was.

Are you referring to the #1 defense in the NFL over the past 2/12 months?

The recent Barnwell article summed up my feelings. The Patriots offense is putting the D is fantastic position. When I read that the Jags defense had to face 4 games worth of offensive possessions MORE than the Patriots D, it jibed with what I've been seeing.

I have not been convinced by them all year, but couldn't really put my finger on it. Just team speed in the middle maybe? But then when I read the Barnwell article about how the D greatly benefits from the Patriots offense, unlike any other team in the league, it gave me pause. By comparison, the Jags D faced 4 games worth more offensive possessions than the Patriots D. And that's because of the Patriots O.

What????What about Fiona the hippo??
She predicted eagles to win..
Damn Hippopotamus..

In the afccg, Jags ran 71 offensive plays.
The Pats? 61. Hmm.
