IDK. As I recall, Jack didn't make contact with White until White was already well into the EZ and the ref was in the process of signaling the TD. There really wasn't any point to making the tackle, much less the body slam. Burfict probably would've been flagged for that.

Jack was pretty amazing this season. He's fast, strong, agile, has great instincts, seems to be able to do everything well. If he stays healthy and out of trouble and can continue to produce at this level, he seems destined for a great career. I'd be disappointed to see him go down the Burfict path.

What's really annoying to me is that Jack was one of several prospects from the 2nd round of the 2016 draft who turned out well and who the Pats may have missed out on due to Goodell's confiscation of their 1st-round pick (#27) over Deflategate.

Hunter Henry - #35
Jack - #36
Chris Jones - #37
Xavien Howard - #38
Michael Thomas - #47
Deion Jones - #52

The Pats' 2016 draft has turned out pretty well so far anyway, but still.
Maineman, you’re killing me with Jack and the last two names on that list, dude.

Excellent point.

I don't understand why people even react to his posts. Just block him or skim past his posts. Don't respond or read it. That's what I do. Then again people still continue to listen to and complain about Felger, shaugnessy, kellerman, etc...

The trolls are only here to disrupt threads and the forum, I call them out in the hopes the moderators will take notice and ban them. As human beings go they are lowlife sacks of sh.t and the sooner they are gone the better.

Agree about the late hit by Jack. Totally unnecessary, and should've resulted in a penalty.

Also agree that, had Stokoe not stolen our first-rounder, Jack could've - and should've if I had the choice - been ours.

However, aside from Thuney & Dorsett, there doesn't appear to be anything else from the Pats 2016 draft that has turned out pretty well so far.

Love this strategy- gameplan installations without the distraction. Take a day off to travel, sleep on it, then go through the process again next week.

Wonder how many times they'll go through the practice, stop, and go to the locker room for 30 minutes, then come back out and start the process again. Sort of mental conditioning, if you will.

I guess? I mean it looked ok to me. Want to protect against hits to the head. Fair enough. But let that stuff go I feel. Then again the ref did immediately move to Myles Jack and gave him a talking about it. Maybe he was warned not to do that again?

There was nothing OK about that tackle. He knew the play was over and purposely body slammed White anyway. If anything, it was more flag-worthy than the hit on Gronk.

Valentine, Mitchell, Roberts, Karras. Picked up Jon Jones as a UDFA. Not stars, but decent role players who've made some significant contributions when needed.

No Gronk at the walk through today.

protect hits to the head? of course
be tough on a football field? of course, its football!! ....but doing so after the whistle is nothing but unprofessional and any player doing it should stop, that hit on white wasn't overtly bad or to the head no, but it was late, and unnecessary

Your shtick is F**KING TIRED.

Mitchell contributed last year and came up big in the SB
Valentine contributed last year
Karras stepped in for Andrews when he was sick for a couple of games and outside of one bad snap played solid
Roberts is not great or anything but he's been serviceable
Jones as an UDFA has been good on ST and played solid of defense

All guys picked later than the 95th pick, Getting contributions on that many picks post-3rd round from 1 draft is all that anyone can ask. If they turn into good to great players, awesome. But what teams are really looking for in those rounds is guys that can come and contribute and all the guys listed have contributed

They all can't be Tom Brady(199th pick), Richard Sherman (154th pick) or Antonio Brown (195th pick)

Agree completely. That said, I’d love to see him in a Pats uniform.

If gronk is at the facility and working out, that puts him at step 3 of the process. you arent even allowed at the facility in the early stages.

I think he will be cleared next week.
