Dion's knee hit the ground, and the ball was not even loose.

It was held solidly against himself, it was knocked - but he didn't lose control...at least, not until after his knee hit the ground.

Is the play not dead when the runner's knee hits?

If so...fixed?

The ball was loose before he came down and he didn’t maintain possession. Just like the ball was loose when ASJ went out of bounds before he maintained possession.

They did it on the 2 other drives they scored on too...opening and close of 1st half. Sure it was a FG a drive dependent on penalties, but still. Literally every time they called plays downfield they scored.

Not that I necessarily want to see the deep ball into double coverage on 2nd down again
