Does anyone else feel like we're losing this one?

Just going to be tough. If Brady can't throw, it's obviously a problem. My guess is they'll shift to a short passing game because you can find a way to still throw those, even if they're a little wobbly. It's the intermediate touch passes and downfield throws that are tough, and my concern is guys getting separation on short routes for him to be able to hit them. My other concern are bad snaps/turnovers in their own end.

Otherwise, I'm just hoping they can keep Jacksonville backed up with a long field and win the field position battle and hold them to field goals if the Patriots struggle to move the ball. Ryan Allen has quietly played well all year, but he may actually end up being a big factor this weekend.
You think it can be healed by the super bowl?

This game is going one of two ways:

1) Exactly how you described (close, low scoring loss)
2) Complete domination by NE (lopsided win)

I really don't know which one it will be.

Yeah, not sure I call winning by a FG "waxing" anyone.

I ain't scared. The Jags are not the same D when using 12 or 21 personnel. I think the O is gonna "eat" on Sunday.

I get you but I can’t get past the fact the Jax WAXED a pretty darned good Pitt Team. I can’t get past that....

Fair enough, I just can't see the Patriots D giving up the kind of yards/points that the Steelers did. And by the sounds of all the dysfunction coming out of the Steelers camp, the Browns may have beat them last week.

I am sure it will be a nail biter! I wouldn't have it any other way.

It doesn't need to be completely healed, but it needs to be to the point where he's a little more able to grip the ball if he's having any real trouble with it. Two weeks off would certainly help - but they've got to get by this weekend first.

No let me say it again, NO

They also need to sustain drives and at least keep the defense off the field. They've got a good enough defense to win, but hopefully the offense doesn't struggle and put them in any bad situations.

I feel like the stars are all aligned for the NFL to pull a " story line" stunt, Clete as ref, the Jags with Coughlin, a **** QB with a stellar D, this one feels like its a loss.
Not at all. Pats will win by 2 TDS+

Two tidbits from #Patriots QB Tom Brady’s thumb injury: 1. It was gushing blood when it happened. 2. He was “zinging it pretty good today,” source said.

Yes. And bandwagonish with a touch of trollwork.
We'll let it slide - there's enough of a reason to be a little concerned. I think more than a few - myself included - are a little leery of this one until we see Brady throw the football and show the hand is in good enough shape to play through it.

They said today this injury more likely to affect touch passes.. This kind of injury, especially if he wears the glove, every pass needs to be a fastball.

Ian is such a better person than I am.

I'll reserve any speculation on his condition until we actually see him play. I've read multiple reports and they're all over the place, so the only confirmation we'll really need won't obviously be found out until the ball is kicked off.
