Interesting thing is, if his hand has been hurting ALL season, Pats are in big trouble with the league, because it was never listed.

How so? You are not required to list every minor ailment of every player.

So, this seemed to have been relatively missed.

Jonathan Jones was IRed and Bernard Reedy was re-signed to the 53.

This is interesting because it gives the Pats only 4 CBs on the roster with the 4th being Bademosi.

Bademosi's play earlier in the year was eye-opening because no one here really knew what the Pats had in him other than a Special Teams player.

Reedy being brought back instead of the Pats bringing up Ryan Lewis or Jomal Wiltz to replace Jones is a bit of a surprise, but it probably has as much to do with Mitchell not being activated as it does Jones going to the IR.

Reedy will probably be handling all punt return duties with Amendola being counted on more in the receiving game.

Pats have decent depth going into playoffs at most positions....Is CB a concern with Jones to IR? I liked him back there.... If Butler needs a breather, is Bademosi the man?

Not a surprise based on how he went out, but that truly sucks. Jones was playing extremely well, and I expect his role to be even more prominent next season, likely even being elevated to CB2 if this doesn't hurt his progression too badly.

Luckily, of the three remaining teams, as long as our remaining CB depth stays healthy we should be fine. None of them are the types of teams that exploit a weak CB4 especially well.
