The Official Laugh at the Steelers Thread

Heck yes to all 3.
It's a good defense, no question. I'm saying that if Fornette is gimpy then they will have to be the reincarnation of the 2000 Ravens to have a realistic chance.
I expect the game to be somewhat close at the half before the Pats pull away in the 3rd. I don’t think the Pats will be taking the ball if they win the coin toss either.

Not at all. Teams could match up well in one aspect and still not win the game. We see that all the time. I also said earlier in the thread that I expect the Pats to win by at least 10. So no moving the goalposts here. You're doing your usual thing and constructing a straw man because you know you can't argue otherwise.
I have been talking about the matchup of the opponent. You know, what matters, winning the game. I have used bortles vs B.B. as my prime reason since my first post in the topic.
It’s really ok for you to just say you agree instead of pretending it’s a different discussion

LOL. This post reads like a white flag attached to a stick over rubble. So shall I just assume that your answer to those three questions are yes?

AB is elite and inhuman.

Cooks is very good and has holes in his game.
This humiliation for the Steelers coach, staff, team, "all world greatest ever talent", and franchise, due to their absurd tweeting, My Facing, NBC Dungy interviews, etc, is actually better (at least in this season) then us smacking them again. I think they fold out now perhaps. Bell is gonna sit on the tag, AB will be "driven" into camp in his Rolls Royce last last year at 10 MPH again.. They actually suck azz. Jags will be tougher out though I think it will be like the Titans game.

Though I LOVED the Vikings ending, sucks that it bailed out the Steelers pain a tiny bit, but this is fricken sweet man. No team fan base sucks harder, longer, and more vigorously than the Steelers. Operation "Steel Town Frown" was executed for us before we had our own chance to launch our version yet again.

Most embarrassing team in the NFL since the 70s. So many home play off losses, choke jobs, Divas forever (packed for New Orleans 2001, like that every year... 3 Pats titles went through them.

BOTH their Super Bowls in last 37 years had to happen when the Pats either got knocked off or Brady was out for the year. Total fraud team and not just for this year. All time awesomeness yesterday.

Personally I give the Jags about the same chance against the Titans but fortunately no Jaguar reads my PatsFans posts to get pissed off not that it would even matter.

Blitz for 6 baby!

PS: Even when we are not the ones who knock them out,... we are part of the story anyway... because Patriots Envy/Obsession etc is a central component of the story ANYWAYS!!!

You were wrong, get over it.

Agree.

I despise the Squealers....everything about them.

JAX D is better than what they had shown yesterday. I think it'll be a tough, hard fought game but Pats will win.

Interesting how JAX finished 5th in scoring offense and 2nd in scoring defense and NE finished 2nd in scoring offense and 5th in scoring defense

It still baffles me why people think Tomlin is such a great coach. There is no discipline on that team and it shows up on game-day.

not to mention the countless dumb plays. You have a near 300lb qb and the best RB in the game on 4th and 1 and on one play you throw it 20 yards downfield. and the other you run a sweep

I thought the Steelers were going to come back in the second half. They probably would have if it weren't for coaching malpractice (e.g. why on Earth do you call for toss sweep plays on 4th and inches when you have a QB the size of Big Ben for a sneak?).

Still, I think it's extraordinary that a young team like the Jags were able to beat the Steelers on the road in the playoffs and that they can't be taken lightly.

There’s a news article I read titled: “ after loss Rooney should demand change”
It was actually kind of complimenting in that it drew some comparisons like don’t tell me they went 13-3 as an excuse. They don’t celebrate 13-3 seasons in New England. It also points out that B.B. fired the offensive line coach within 24 hours after that Denver game

The Patriots will win next Sunday.

With that said it will not be easy.

Yeah my Steeler fan friend doesn't think he should be fired because his record is like 110-60 or something.

I guess that's how far you get when you coach a lot of talent and play in a watered down league with few truly great teams. 110-60 sounds about right. But I don't see how you watch the AFC finals last year, the Pats Steelers game this year, and the Jags game, and immediately conclude that they are losing these games against good teams primarily because of their coach.

The 49ers also had 3 takeaways, a defensive score and TD drives of 18 and 26.

Oh, I'm not pumping the tires of the 49ers...but I also know a common coaching tactic of overemphasizing to fire competitive juices. This is a coaching staff that hyped a punter as a significant weapon just as an example.

I was talking more about comments about studying what sf did to score 44 on that defense. Half the points were bortled.

Roethlisberger is the first QB to throw for 5 TDs in a playoff game and lose.

Regards,
Chris

470 passing yards.

He is a multi ring QB who is wasting away under Tomlin. Tomlin looking tough on the sidelines can only do so much.

No game is easy but as games between the last 2 standing in a conference go, it will be comparatively very easy.

Yea I'm thinking close 1st 1/2 and typical take control of the game 2nd 1/2.

Pats will cover and then some.

I don’t know if it’s just coaching. My take is this. I think they have too many prima donas , they aren’t prepared correctly. There’s a general lack of discipline. Too many clock management mistakes. Lack of focus and too much arrogance that’s kind of unwarranted. Beyond that they are a good team.

Joke of an organization. Would have been fun to watch NE smash them in the AFCCG again, but I will settle for seeing them go one and done.
They are almost as big a joke as a guy who won’t pay off a bet he loses them shows up with a cyber fake nose and glasses.
