I will say this again ,I can't believe people even in FS1 and other shows like colin cowherd are suggesting BB floated this story to wickersham via his sources

the original source is an article by gary myers of the new york daily news:

Bill Belichick 'sees an opening' to coach Giants: source

funny, when i click on it, it states upfront that the article is false:

(i'm not being serious, it's because i have an adblocker)
.

I love the premise of this. "Now, Belichick sees an opening where he can coach the Giants!"

Because we all know that if Belichick quit the Patriots after the 2018 season instead, and contacted Mara about the head coaching position, he'd say, "Sorry Bill, would love to have you, but I've already got Jack del Rio coaching the team, so I'm just going to have to pass. Maybe the Browns job will be open soon though, you might want to call them."

The Colts might have another Lombardi instead of the Broncos if they didn't go with the sure thing of Andrew Luck. Wouldn't surprise me if they don't ever get back to a SB with Luck.

The most successful protege of a HOFer anyone can come up with is Young who followed Montana's 4SBs with one. Meanwhile old broke Joe dragged the Chiefs to the AFC championship game.

I don't see that as a history of success for jettisoning HOF QBs. In every case the replacement never surpassed the person he replaced, and in every case the guy they replaced showed they were just as capable if not more so of winning Super Bowls with their time left.

That's the best example. More common is something like 1st round pick Mike Malone who followed Bradshaw, Quincy Carter following Troy Aikman, etc.

Honestly I'm just glad no one is accusing us of cheating. It's funny how every pats story spirals out of control. All this so called strife yet 2 super bowls and a 1st rd bye and homefield advantage.

I don't watch sports media shows at all. So the video you provided is the first one (more than a quick blurb) I have watched in a long time.
I thought Howe seemed very reasonable with one exception: the thin read line. When asked "who would be the unnamed sources" he didn't even contemplate there aren't real insider sources (the insider source is Giselle's Nail Salon Lady). And that's just media being media -- they don't badmouth the brotherhood/sisterhood though that is exactly what media needs, IMHO.

With that said, it was well reasoned and backs up my own thoughts and post: for 17/18 years these two men have worked together and been the exact same in game and to the press, always. That's all an almost 2 decade perfect lie? Because I don't believe you can fake for 17 years BB's "we are on to ____" and Brady's "great win for us all, need to do X better, on to ___".

I did wonder if part of Brady's "chemistry" problem with Dorsett might be that Dorsett doesn't use the TB12 training facilities.
Love him or not Brady is Faackef in the head for sure...

Also Aaron Rodgers. He followed Favre with 1SB as well.

When I first saw the “Patriot of the Week” bit in some post I totally thought it was made up to be sarcastic!
If it ever happened I imagine it was in the same spirit as the high-five memes. Wickersham just didn’t (or pretended not to) get the joke.

Danger Will Robinson, Danger... Misinformation overload.... Danger Will Robinson, Danger...

Going waaaayyyy back to when a very expensive PC was 1 megabyte of RAM and a 20 megabyte hard drive (I think the Tandy Trash 80 was even still around), in computer programming class we discovered an easy to use audio editing program. And one of the first things (keeping in mind I'm 19 years old at the time) we edited was the Lost In Space audio file of "Danger Will Robinson" to 'F_ck you Will Robinson" (the F_ck you part was an audio file from Arnold Schwarzenegger). That edited audio file seems much more applicable to today's situation

I lived in the Bay Area at the time. There was a brief love affair with KC including KC games aired locally when the local CBS affiliate had the option (I forget if the Raiders were back in Oakland by then). But the bloom faded from the rose in not too long of a time.
It was unfortunate for Montana. He obviously had some decent level of football left in him but at the time Montana was 'legend' defined. He was the Tom Brady of the 80s. And his time with KC ultimately came off as a QB on the downside of his career trying to hang on.
I don't blame Montana for not wanting to walk away but when you attain legend status, think loooong and hard about when it's best to walk away.

As far as Jimmy? He has looked great in 6 games, his first 6 game. But that isn't unique and he hasn't yet done a meaningful thing in the NFL.

The two arguably best QBs of all time, Montana and Brady, had pedestrian numbers in their first seasons (Montana more below pedestrian while Brady's were respectable pedestrian -- but Brady added excellent poise/management to go with his clutch moments that ultimately well complimented the D allowing the SB to be brought to NEP).

CameraLocationGate --- AirGate --- Trade.JAG.Gate --- AlexGate --- LegacyGate

All completely overblown 'scandals' contrived on 1/2 truths and orchestrated by the NFL and/or the media. Why let the truth hold them back when the overall goal is to create reasonable doubt? The 1/2 truths (or pure BS) become facts in peoples minds. Then perception sets in. The haters believe the little truths and ignore common sense because it makes them feel better about their miserable self esteem and their pathetic teams.

It sickens me to think that for every 1 reply to this nonsense (1,500 last time I checked) BSPN is getting 1,000 hits. Let's wear the hate like a badge of honor. Ignore the noise while it fuels the greatest franchise in America for their annual playoff run.

I think a new story is about to be run that BB will be leaving NEP and it is based on solid evidence from an insider. The insider source says with 100% certainty that something doesn't smell right and the **** is about to hit the fan at the Belichick residence on Nantucket: "The Latest: 1M gallons of sewage spilled in Nantucket".

This is crap I can't believe people are so infatuated with this piece.
Anytime the Patriots are in a article especially when it predicts their demise people eat it like up like crazy.
