It's not popular to say it out here, but I think you're right. If they were trying to issue an unequivocal denial, they should fire their PR team, because what they issued was weak. It reads like something put together by committee.

I actually agree that it is boilerplate and that’s fine. I think that’s as much as one can expect from this organization.

Unless they make SethReportContext.com

I think she's entirely aware that it's a prediction. She's asking what said prediction is based on, which as far as I can tell is your wishful hunch.
It’s based on tom Brady wins SBs.
It’s also based on a poll of nfl players.

he just made it through 5 games unscathed......with a poor OL.....

he went 5-0......higher qb rating than brady in those 5 games.....with worse talent and coaching......in a new system

and many people here are blaming some of bradys troubles in the second half of the season on an achilles injury

the irony.....lol

You know that wins are a team stat right?

Welp...wouldn't it be comical if an announcement comes in the next week that BB, and TB12 have both signed extensions? That would be gold!

yeah

but jimmy g's higher qb rating the last 5 games is an individual stat
I’ll take your word for it. The more relevant thing than a 5 game sample size is Brady and his team are still playing. Jimmy and his team are on the golf course.

And the Patriots made the right decision to send him packing.

Another media ploy that hopefully backfires like deflategate and only makes us better. It’s unfortunate if there is tension and im not dismissing the possibility there but this sounds like your typical media taking things overboard. I mean there always will be tension and blowups in a competitive environment. We saw it with brady/bob and I believe it was referenced in patriot reign that bb and crennell/weis had profanity filled shouting matches behind the scenes.

Here as well These guys are proven professionals and have won 11 of the last 12 games with things the way they are. I think its also an attempt to make brady look bad and favre ish in not wanting to pass the torch.

will you please address the content of my post

My unsolicited thoughts
1. Of all media to leak info to the source chose ESPN lol
2. The article reads as though Bill was the victim
3. This reporter has worked with the Gronk clan as well as with JE
4. We will eventually discover the “truth” behind the relationship but at the end of the day, we are 3 wins from the Lombardi

with brady making the superbowl is a coinflip every year.

MAYBE Jimmy G is a good starting QB. but that doesnt guarantee a superbowl victory let alone an AFC championship run. There are plenty of good young QB's in the NFL who can tell you that. Even older ones like Aaron rodgers/drew brees who only have 1 each.

What does 3 mean? He “worked with” Gronk and Edelman? In what way?

I think espn is the worst thing to be foisted upon the human race since cancer. This all reminds me of deflate gate in that some moron writes a crap story then everyone starts yelling it everywhere. They must be employing hitlers theory from mine kamph. If you tell a whopping lie often enough it becomes true or whatever it said. Something like that

but jimmy g's higher qb rating ...

Damned impressive, 96.2 for a third of a season. The 7/5 TD/INT ratio hurts him though.

Brady's was better in 9 of his last 10 seasons played.

Nick Foles has had a better passer rating for three seasons. Kaepernick and RGIII were both better in 2012.

How are their 10-year plans working out?

Imagine that, a young QB made a mistake and it cost him, it's obviously impossible for him to learn from that and be productive for the next 12-15yrs.

So you just keep moving the goalposts AND producing strawman arguments at the same time ? Great..

If you seriously think there is no truth in this then you are delusional. This isn’t some fake “hit job”. The collective statement was a whole lot of nothing.

What does "flat-out innacurate" mean to you?
Agree. They should have limited the statement to that phrasing, instead they linked it as one of three descriptions with "unsubstantiated" and "highly exaggerated." "Unsubstantiated" suggests something might be true, but no source is cited. "Highly exaggerated" suggests that there is an element of truth that has been overblown.

They should have issued a simple statement that says "The article is flat-out inaccurate and we're on to the Playoffs. We will have no further comment on this article of this matter."

If they wanted to issue a different kind of statement, they could have said something like:

"Bob, Bill and Tom have worked together for 18 years as one of the most successful partnerships in the history of global Professional Sports. As is the case with every successful partnership, they don't always agree on everything, but, at the end of the day, they stand together and work together and will continue to stand and work together as they carry on the work of building the Greatest Dynasty in NFL history. Anyone who suggests otherwise is seriously misinformed. We will have no further comment on this article or this matter."

not bad to have a higher qb rating than the presumptive MVP for 1/3 of the season

with worse talent around him.....and lesser coaching.....and a new system

but your point about foles and kaep is valid

next year will be the real comparison......looking forward to it
