What is Wrong with Brady? The Debate Continues...

In the first quarter, Brady looked physically and mentally cold (that 8 minute Bills drive didn't help him). Although Romo excused him for all of his missed passes, they certainly lacked authority and accuracy. After that, it was the same old Tom with MVP written all over him.

Brady’s stats over the last 4 games
12/3 @ Buf - 258 yards - 0 TD’s - 1 INT
12/11 @ MIA - 233 yards - 1 TD - 2 INT
12/17 @ PIT - 298 yards - 1 TD - 1 INT
12/24 BUF - 224 yards - 2 TD - 1 INT

Brady’s last 4 games
253 avg passing yards - 4 TD’s & 5 INT

Spin it anyway you want, the numbers dont lie.

Did...did you watch the second half of this game? Look at those stats and get back to me.

I agree with this... But the fact you left out an entire half of football...........I think that says something.

You're just a douche

Brady hasn't played that great lately. He's in the midst of his longest interception streak in 15 years. It's completely fair to wonder if something is wrong with him.

Let's be fair then... he has averaged over 100 passer rating over the last 5 weeks he was missing today his top 3 wr targets from last year, his first and third down passing running backs... and then straight after he threw the pick marched down the field for a TD AND he scored on every subsequent possession.

He is probably a little fatigued after a series of away games + not a 100% confident with his body.

Hogan, Lewis etc will be back

If Mitchell comes back.. wowee

He had a 106.8 rating, but still managed to miss more throws than earlier in the season and threw a pick 6. I'm not sure how he is happy with this performance. I stated he was a liability because he was slightly off and the running game helped to mask that. It is amazing he got a great game, technically, when he has been off for about a month.

I think you've found the answer. He played a season. I imagine there are about thirty or so teams who would like to be winning games having played a tough season. Let me guess, you never watched a Patriots game before 2001?

Except they are misleading. I mean we did win 3 out of those 4 games. His interceptions could be a cause for concern only because its unusual for him to have this many consecutively but his TD numbers are not. They are still scoring TDs. They are just getting them by running.

Its pretty obvious why his play has fallen off.....

He misses Jimmy G.

Oh I watched the Patriots when they were 1-15 and 2-14. I just see Brady struggling right now versus his high standard and wonder what is causing the slight funk. As another poster pointed out, he is 4td-5int the past four games. That isn't Brady-like.

We've already had some theories discussed the past few weeks, but after today's pick 6... let's have another go at the topic. Long story short, what is wrong with Brady? He has been missing open receivers, has been throwing picks, etc. I'd say it is about the pass rush of the opposition, but even when the pressure isn't there he has been playing like the boogeyman is about to get him. In year's past, he's been hit more often but hasn't played like this for this number of games.

So, is this him fighting an injury? A disruption to his training regimen? A psychic disturbance from beyond the grave or Peyton with a voodoo doll? Marriage trouble? The beginning of the dive off the cliff (aka "This is 40, Part II")?

Today, Brady was a liability. The team would have beat the Bills 36-9 if you take away the pick 6. Brady had some good throws, but as many iffy ones. As a follow-up, who believes Brady can shake this off if they beat the Jets and get a bye/homefield?

Is this sarcasm? Satire? Something new? It's too grammatically correct to be pure lunacy. It's confusing, since the content makes no sense.

You do realize he just secured NFL MVP today........... what are you talking about. NFP MVP isn't good enough for you? You want 2007 Brady every season? 5k pass yards, 50ish TDs and no more than 5 ints? lol.

I respect your opinions. Even your opinion that the current Pats uniforms are ugly and terrible - even when you mention it pretty much weekly.
Are you paying attention? I try to bring it up hourly, at least...

Brady had a mediocre first half against a tough division opponent with everything to play for. Overall, he had a little bit better day than Brees.

Brady’s worst month for QB rating historically has been in December.

Jimmy was the guru. Now that he is gone, the world is a cold place (i.e. New England).

I mean he's been missing two of his top targets from last year and today was missing White and Burkhead as well. He always struggles against the Dolphins in Miami, we just got a 12th win, it's hard to think that we're seeing problems here...

With Hollister and Britt catching some of their first passes, and more targets and catches by Dorsett and Allen etc, certainly you can tell that the familiarity was missing. But Tom pushed through. The pick-6 was a pass to Britt.
