Nickel with Roberts and M Flowers? Reilly? Dime? Real possibility they lean on Richards here. Van Noy could miss several weeks depending on severity.

Calf Muscle Tear

hes been at practice limited, so guessing its the minor one which is 2-4 weeks. probably a mistake to play him 2 weeks ago in the limited fashion.

either way, getting flowers back should help along the front 7. and glad to have waddle travel with the team. he has played really well this year

Have to play it safe. Rushing him back against the Bills was a mistake. We could`ve won it without him.

All over social media Pats fans soiling themselves because Van Noy is out, saying it's going to be a loss now.

If i'm not mistake Shazier is done for the year, right?

So not having your best LB (yes, i'm not including Hightower because Pats haven't had him for 2 months now) only hurts the Pats and not the Steelers?

Did these people miss the Ravens/Steelers game last week? Have they forgotten all the times Brady has shredded the Steelers?

Man there are a lot pants ****ting ****ies in the Pats fanbase

Nice language. The issue is we literally are almost out of Linebackers...period. You can’t just trot out Richardson and not expect to me embarrassed.

Maybe it's good that David Harris sat out last week. At least we might have one or two healthy linebackers. Who to hell are the backups to the backups. Are they on the plane?? The special team guys may get their shot in the biggest game of the year.

the Ravens put up nearly 40 points on them. WR's were open all over the field and their RB put up crazy numbers. I dont think the pats will have a problem moving the ball on the steelers. Brady says their defense is very similar to what they always do. and considering bradys history vs. the steelers that should be promising news. especially since he practiced in full all week.

the game is going to be won on which team can better limit the other team. If flowers/van noy are back I put my faith more on the patriots to limit the steelers more.

question for me is, do you put butler or gilmore on brown? Gilmore has been better lately, but butler has a pretty good history against the steelers.

Hope Gilmore will be the story of the game as he blankets Brown and shows BB was smart knowing Gilmore could handle Brown and was worth the money.

I haven't heard James White's name mentioned much as he could be a key to beat the slower Steelers LBs.

Also will Penn State Alum and All- American lacrosse player Chris Hogan rub it in their face again vs. his former football rivals?

My biggest concern is how Gronk will be officiated in the current PC world the NFL must navigate in.

Harris is injured. Limited all week and questionable. As has been noted, we are running out of LBs. Been using STs guys and Richards in the box. In Bill We Trust.

This may be a time to name a new defense. Maybe the Susan B Anthony Dollar D where all linebacker spots are played by safeties.

Just read thru a good long CNN story scroll were 8 NFL scouts rated the 18 biggest 2017 NFL underachievers and was glad to see no Pats on the list.

So we have that going for us tomorrow, which is good.

Nice article by Mike Reiss giving some insight on the zebra crew for today’s game.

Danny Amendola's solid season has him excited about present and future

"Terrible towels" probably won't be the only flashes of yellow seen at Heinz Field today for the Patriots-Steelers game, as referee Tony Corrente's crew has called an average of 18.5 penalties per game this season, which is the most of any crew. For context, Bill Vinovich's crew has called the fewest (11.5).

Specifically, Corrente's crew has called defensive pass interference, illegal contact and defensive holding a league-high 46 times (the crew average is 31.5), according to ESPN Stats & Information.

When I brought those numbers to some of the Patriots' defensive backs Friday, they said it wasn't something they had focused on at that point of the week. But players are usually briefed on the tendencies of specific officiating crews at some point before kickoff.

"Any insights you can get into how you think the game will go, or how they've been calling it, it helps," second-year cornerback Jonathan Jones said. "You have to do business the way business is being done. If they're calling something tight, you have to be cognizant of it. You have to play within the rules, play within the game without trying to get those penalties."

Between us missing Branch & KVN and getting a trigger happy ref crew.. get ready to avoid the live thread. It will get insane..

With Corrente's crew I see 2 Gronkowski OPI, 1 illegal pick each for amendola and hogan nullifying about 100 yards of total offense and a td

I doubt that happens but we will see.
