Brady apologizes to Josh

Stupid dumb press, was going to add more thoughts but that seemed to cover it!

Have you ever played sports ? Did you seriously have to apologize for ****talking your team mates or opponents afterwards ? What is this ?
I think the better question is have *you* ever played sports?? ****talking your opponents and teammates is miles away from telling the coach "f*** you" (if that is what was said).

I sure never said "f*** you" to a coach or assistant. And while I was not exactly the star of the team, I never saw any of those fellas do it either.
Both are competitive people, both were frustrated and Josh kept pushing Brady's button by repeating that someone was open. That thing was forgotten 3 minutes afterwards before the idiot sports media made it some moronic controversy.
I'm glad Tom was man enough to admit he was wrong and apologize for it.

Brady Apologizes to McDaniels; Fans Outraged
Seriously. I can't believe how many people in here think Brady did the wrong thing when he manned up and gave McDaniels an apology.

Brady already apologized to McD (in person like it should be done). This is to shut up the people who think they need to be part of the relationship...

EDIT: @Silver Blue&Red beat me to it.
Or it is thing people with class do.

I swear, the people in here are so dedicated to the notion that Brady can do no wrong that even when Brady himself admits he f'ed up, they have to find some other reason to justify the whole thing and act like apologizing to someone is indicative of a character flaw.

If it was any other player on another team, the exact same people in here would be laughing at the coaching staff and criticizing the player for doing what he did.

I don't understand why there needs to be a public apology. If they are truly BFFs, then the only thing a public apology does is give the media and fans some sense of closure. I don't know why we need that...and **** what the media wants. Those ****tards deserve nothing from this franchise.

If you do something you truly regret in private, you should give a private apology. If you do something you truly regret in public, you should give a public apology.

I just don't understand the anger people have in here that Brady actually <gasp!> apologized.

Josh should bench Brady this game and start Hoyer, what the goat did was uncalled for lol jk

Because there is nothing to ****ing apologize over. This is not being a Brady apologist. There was literally nothing wrong with what he or Josh did or said. They got emotional, they let it out and both were over it 3 minutes later studying film on the sideline.

The only reason this is even a topic is because moron fans and the media kept harping on it. It is just mindblowing that anyone thinks something like that needs a public apology but I guess we need to think of the fcuking children that watch the game.

You know why it doesnt matter ? Because Brady gets completely ripped apart during video sessions in front of the entire team and takes it in stride. That is what being a leader is about not about sitting and smiling for the crowd and tv cameras when things go wrong. If he would cuss out during those reflective moments during film review then we would have a problem but during a professional football game ? Oh please..

Everyone should love what they have seen because it shows how both of them have fire in their eyes even during a snoozefest in Buffalo. Win every ****ing snap.

Or maybe Tom picked up a vibe from Josh and they talked it out and Tom felt this was an appropriate action.

What his action clearly demonstrates is Tom Brady is a man and his fame, fortune and GOAT status does not put him above the feeling to apologize to someone.

See I dont have a problem with any of that but none of it had to be public. The fact that he mentioned it in a press conference just tells me that the apology was not directed at Josh but at people on the outside (fans, media..), PR and branding.

I am sure both of them got over it soon as they cooled from the ending of the drive. They have known each other for so long that they most certainly have been through the same situation dozens of times.

No comment, case closed. On to Miami
Hope I don't fall asleep.

Can't believe the overreaction to this. Go back to SB49 after the Butler INT. First person Brady grabs and hugs is McDaniels. Clearly they are close and have been for a while.

These media people really talked about why we didn't make a big deal about what Brady did while making a big deal about what he did to the point that he had to apologize. You can't make this up.

The issue had less to do with whether he was right or wrong (he was wrong for yelling but it happens), the issue is how the media then took his actions and misconstrued them to be equal with Cam or OBJ. And then they made it a racial issue. It didn't help that OBJ had that comparison video either. Makes it seem like all up and coming players can have a tantrum now and compare themselves to Brady because they are a POC and people treat them differently. Unfortunately, our athletes are held accountable but only to a point in which the athletes who are "most liked" by national guys are treated better. Do you hear any one ask Blake Bortles how he treats his coaches? Of course not because he sucks and no one cares.

Josh is neither teammate nor opponent. He is a coach. I suspect TB12 apologized to McDaniels much earlier -- probably during or immediately after the game -- and that the public apology was made at the 'suggestion' of management (i.e., BB of RK). Up to this point, TB12's explanation has been that this is just football, but we know what everyone thinks of the prima donnas that go off on the coach in public.

Now, back to football!

It doesnt matter. There is nothing to apologize for in the first place.

Agree on due to OBJ, brady does not want to be associated with anyone who pretends to piss like a dog on national TV.

I am old school and believe that the mark of a man is acting like a gentleman in any situation, IMO you can lose your temper but becoming verbally abusive is not acceptable, try to make things better when you have the opportunity..

If you break the circle of trust then you have the responsibility of making it whole again..

Well, I think in his mind because he did rip into Josh publicly he needed to apologize publicly.

I understand the view in which this was not necessary and he caved in to scrutiny but I don't buy that. At the end of the day Tom is a leader and a class act.

With that said, I am open to the theory in which BB put him up to it.

A public apology was not needed, but an apology for tempers running a bit too hot is the right thing to do. People as a whole apologize too much. I pulled in to a parking spot like a bat out of hell yesterday and a woman was cutting through the median and through the spot to get to the store. I stopped short because I was driving like an asswipe. She then apologizes to me! Why? She did nothing wrong. I should have been the one apologizing to her. I was disgusted. She should have told me to slow my ass down or asked me where the god damn fire is.

If you see Kay you...do it today!

Oh, I'm terribly sorry...I apologize. Thought that was a big beaver in your trousers but turns out it was only an old trout.I desperately want to be politically correct at all times but find it extremely hard since my last visit to Iben Fahteen's Bean Palace & 72 Virgin Olive Oyls Restaurant in Philaralphia, P.A. At least I met my future ex-wife>>>>>>>>>

I’m not that great of a lip reader, but you don’t have to be in order to clearly see he told McDaniels “**** you” multiple times.

I was glad that Brady did.

He wants to win and score on every drive. That kind of fire is what wins championships.

And you better believe BB had the tape of that play on Monday screen spending some time on it. ”Wide open“ could apply to any of three guys on that play. Cooks as first option, Gronk beating coverage for a TD and Dorsett sitting wide wide open on the other side for what seemed like eternity.

Hard to tell what pissed off Josh the most: missed timing/throw on Cooks, missed read on Gronk or completely ignoring Dorsett. Id guess its safe to say BB was not happy about TBs play there either. He had clean pocket for over 5s (and still not collapsing) and the all-22 shot from the end zone shows nicely how fixated he was on Cooks although he did have a look at Gronk.

And while the throw and timing/decision to throw were arguably worse all season . completely ignoring Dorsett was the only disturbing thing about this to me. I don't know if Josh was about that or later BB but Id guess as a coach you'd want all receivers to get involved if possible and all posing a certain threat esp. in injury situation like Pats have. Dorsett was your #2 WR at this point in time and in situations like this Id really like TB at least gives him a look. The trust issue can go only so far . at least from OC's point of view..

Here's what Lombardi had to say about it:

“Sometimes what happens w frustration of the coaches /BB,McD/ is that Brady sometimes predetermines where he wants to go with the ball. Trust is a huge thing with TB. If he doesn't trust the receiver to be in the right place at the right time he's probably not going to throw the ball to him no matter how wide open the guy is..“
