Lip reading Brady and McDaniels

I was talking about whomever is in the top circle of this photo. Thought it was Allen, then somebody says it was Gronk, but now it appears it was Cooks or Dorsett. As you can see, Josh was right and he's wide open. !@#!@#$ You Josh!! ;-)

It was Dorsett. It took me awhile to figure that out.

I just love it.

5 titles under his belt and on his way to a blowout, and he gets spitting mad because he's called out for missing a wide open Dorsett and knows that he screwed up. The fire is 100% still there.

It could be a lot worse- could be a Cutler "Whatever" shrug.
To be fair, it was early in the game and T"F-bomb"B did not know he was on his way to a blow out.

No video, but here's an old fashioned photo. It's what we might call a target rich environment:

Where did the throw go? I had to watch in a bar and wasn’t close enough to see. I only saw the crossing receiver fall down.
The player at the left sideline is open the one near the numbers on the right looks like he is being closed on. Edit someone posted a clip and the defender was not closing.

There's a gif of the play on the first page.

Hard to see from this camera view so far away but shouldn’t that have been caught?

I can't tell. Maybe when the all-22 comes out we'll get a better view.

I wouldn’t be surprised that this way a play that brady and Mcd expected to go differently.
I could see that mcd told brady all week this would get the corner route at the 10 on the left sideline open and brady expected the crosser would be his best target.
So josh threw an I told you so,and brady pissed that he missed/the receiver didn’t bring in the catch, so he told him stfu.
That is a normal coach, great player relationship.

If anyone else has a better take on that subject Im open to hearing it. I think thats all it was. Mcd thought he called the right play and Brady missed the deep in (which he did) and then Mcd gave him **** for it and brady wasnt having it (clearly frustrated from all the fgs)

Brady can predict the future but can't change it?!?!?! Incredible and disheartening at the same time for Brady!:confused:

Haven't read through the posts so sorry if this is a repeat but James White was wide open in the flat on that play by design. I actually watched White (while the play was live) chip a d-lineman and make his way to the open flat because I though for sure the Pats would go to him on that 3rd and long. Tom even looked at him and thought for a second about going to him. My guess on that play the entire time is Josh was upset he didn't take the sure first down (because it was and White was WIDE open). I think TB12 was pissed at himself for going for the big gain to Cooks and not dumping it off and keeping that drive moving. Sometimes when your pissed at yourself, the last thing you want is for someone else to say the exact thing you're mad at yourself for not doing.

Sometimes the best way to beat Brady is to **** up the coverage entirely. It sure fooled Tommy. He was probably wondering wtf is this and didn't want to throw a pick.o_O

I thought that too while watching the game yesterday. JW was wide open, and it looked like Brady looked right at him before throwing it downfield.

Looking at the gif now though it appears that White was about 8 yards in front of the first down marker. Maybe Brady didnt think that White would've been able to get the first down after the catch?

I’m not sure why Brady sometimes has problems seeing the same thing I do. I could totally see the open receivers...from my couch...on my 75” hdtv...on replay...in slow-mo...with expert commentary.

Cooks, Dorsett, Gronk, Amendola and Lewis were all open. Brady threw to Cooks but it was a poor throw and behind him.

Hey I didn’t need the replay, slow-mo or expert commentary- the couch & the huge tv were all I needed.
