Cassius Marsh Released

Lee was signed as a UDFA in 2016 by the Texans and spent the entire season on their PS, so BB may have gotten some info from BoB on him, in addition to college scouting.

Interesting that BB chose to poach a PS DE rather than promote Grissom who is at least a known commodity on ST.

Pats are well stocked at ST and they know what they have (and don't have) in Grissom.

I know nothing about Lee. Intriguing.

It might be injury related.

We are nearing that time of the year if marginal players cant get healthy by playoff time they are either cut or put on IR.

Seeing how he wasn't even IR'd that indicates something else.

So far, it's only been reported that he was waived. Sometimes, the "waived/injured" part doesn't come up until the second round of reports. Marsh did sit out the Denver game with a shoulder injury.

I can't remember if you have to waive a player on his rookie contract (which Cassius should have been) to IR them now.

All players go through waivers now. If cleared then possible IR.

Just re-watched his two snaps. No injury apparent. But also none of the energy he showed before. Easily handled. (Looked even smaller) He was game time decision so you never know but all points performance, fit related. He did play well on STs earlier but they are rolling wo him now.

Another wrinkle: Reilly had a great game on the line (also off). Possibly his surprising stepping up and versatility (also ST ace) triggered the decision now.

Here just one example of his great line play - look for #51 jumping from left edge in the middle:

ps
Lee more in line with Pats edge type at least size wise.

Right. IIRC an unvested player is waived before being put on IR but i need someone more knowledgeable to check me on that.

Reilly and Flowers have been playing VERY well.

Atlanta just cut Jalen Collins (CB), who's eligible to play, following his PED suspension. If Rowe's going to be a while, that might be one to watch. Marsh was an upfield rusher who couldn't adapt to a more thoughtful approach.

Bad trade. Time to move on.
No!!!! Jalen was suspended ten games because it was his *second* PED suspension. Shows he is a slow learner. Not a good fit for this team. Especially because his next time will be two years.

The last theee years our pre and during season trades were hitting ridiculously well this year they're worse than average

At least the 1st rounder is working out

And any wasted pick is a loss...

I've noticed Reilly on special teams and more Sunday.

Sometimes it's timing. We got Ayers after he was buried due to a coaching change. Played with fire then, maybe not so much now.

Wish we had claim Ifeadi Odenigbo from the Vikings. That team has done a great job recently drafting pass rushers and Ifeadi's a victim of the depth that the Vikings have at DE
