Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor out for season

They're done for the year. They just don't have the firepower on offense to be able to compete now.

another franchise we destroyed

Yup them and the Falcons, its funny that every decade there's a "Team of the decade" except for this one as we are still rolling since 2001 so something that doesn't get mentioned is us being the first back to back "team of the decade" breaking the cycle of a new team being the team of the decade/Dynasty (some like to blame the salary cap/free agency instead of giving us credit for stopping other partys) and I expect us fully to win two more Super Bowls at the minimum, this year and next pretty obvious for anyone that follows this team very close and can see between the lines

60s Packers
70s Steelers
80s 49ers
90s Cowboys
00s Patriots
10s Patriots 2/3 and counting, I expect two more super bowl wins at the minimum this decade for us
(Failed attempt at being next dynasty/team of the decade thanks to us :D (Seahawks/Falcons) looking forward to the next prey :)

Legion of Gloom. This is a huge weekend in the NFC West with the Falcons visiting the Seahawks while the Rams play the Vikings. If Pete Carroll can snag a win on Monday to get to 7-3, it would be huge.

I look at a team like the Seahawks that just kept paying all those guys and really appreciate Belichick getting younger before this kind of carnage happens when the entire defense is over 30. Major rebuilding will be needed out there.

Don't forget the Rams

Give the Seahawks some credit, though - they've stuck around the SuperBowl conversation longer than most.

But yeah, their day of reckoning draws near, and Pete Carroll is the oldest coach in the NFL, I believe.

I think the window is slightly cracked open for next season, which will be the last year of Sherman and Thomas's contracts.

If Sherman, Kam, and recently-acquired LT Duane Brown who also hit the IR are all able to come back and play well next year, they could make one last run. But that's a big IF, and relies on those guys being back to their usual selves.

They would need to invest heavily on offense and bet on that defense having gas for another run and stay healthy.
Wilson is a great QB but he can't make scrubs look like starts and a bit of help from the OLine wouldnt hurt and would also bring the read option back.

Legion of Gloom

Ouch.

...that hurts.

Wait, what?

Today: The Patriots are favorites to win the SB this year having lost Edelman, Mitchell and Hightower for the season.

2016: They won the SB last year without IR'ed Dion Lewis, Sebastian Vollmer Tre Jackson, Gronkowski, and having traded away Jamie Collins mid-season

2015: They were a two point conversion away from going to the SB in 2015 employing Brandon Bolden and the Ghost of Steven Jackson as our entire running game.

2013: They went to the AFCCG with Gronk, Mayo, Wilfork, Tommy Kelly and Vollmer on the IR. Their top WRs were Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Tompkins.

2004: They won SB 39 with God Knows Who (Poteat, Gay, Troy Brown and Earth Wind and Fire) playing as our cornerbacks.

Sorry for the woes of the Seahawks, but great franchises grow a pair and use their depth to get through. Boo effing hoo. They're not the Patriots.

Sea Hags will not represent the NFC in the SB this year not minus those guys. About time some of these Teams start feeling the injury bug...we are well experienced in that area.
