Hightower out for the year with a torn pec

Quite the Pyrrhic victory the Atlanta game just became.

And also, what a kick in the damn ****.

Tamba Hali says hi.... I smell a trade with the red feathers.

If they don't trade for a linebacker i'm not sure this group can get it done in January minus Hightower, it was already a major weakness.

You're also assuming the others will stay healthy, it's likely someone else will also get dinged up.

As will others. PHI lost their #1LB + LT on Monday.. Its next man up, mix it up for everybody and Pats under BB are champs in depth/versatility game (even if people don't care for certain players..)

PIT looks strong and healthy at the moment but I wouldn't bet against Pats. Long way to go..

This is the worst news yet. Hightower is such a leader on the field. I am so bummed out.

Ryan Spagnoli tweeted about a season-ending injury on Monday - then deleted as he said was not sure. Guess he was right unfortunately. Made me very nervous when I saw it.

Holy hindsight going on right now. This will be the first time in the NFL that Hightower has missed more than two consecutive games. For as much as people hate on the guy for his injury history, he has done a remarkable job of avoiding severe ones until now.

NOOOOO!

I'm actually quite worried about losing Hightower. Van Noy looked overmatched in the early games when it came to lining everyone up. I don't know what we'll do. I hope BB has a good plan.

Even if Mitchell was healthy (and reports suggest he is not), VV and SM are the ones coming off IR.

Although he is a great player, we really should have seen this coming. It was his pec that scared people off and this is a trend with him and our inside LBs (this is what killed Mayo's career too).

I thought it was the patellar tendon tear? Isn't that what killed Cruz' career too?

He only played the whole season once (2013). People are right to criticize his longevity and durability

I thought I was still asleep and this was a nightmare. Apparently not. I worry about weathering this storm. Edelman was one thing but this seems worse.

Hightower was the only playmaker on that defense. Unless BB can pull of some miracle trade, this will not even well for the Pats.

As for his extension, that was a no brainer, nobody can predict an injury like this.

craptastic

d%#*!@t....

Do we pull off a trade? I think Mychal Kendricks is out of the question with Jordan Hicks out for the year.

This is survivable, but very unideal.

well........that.......sucks

Oh no for both High and the Pats! Get well soon! Damn injuries!
