Belichick has track record of classlessness
Patriots coach has always been on over-competitive manipulator

"When you hear the New England Patriots are accused of sending a spy to videotape an opponent’s signals, do you think, “There is no WAY that would EVER be tolerated on a team coached by Bill Belichick?”

Thought not."

"Forget losing a draft pick or two if the Patriots are found to have violated the league rule against videotaping another team’s signals. Belichick, if he is at any way responsible, should be suspended for a bad attitude that has played out in ways that makes Terrell Owens queasy...."

"He's not a classy guy. A classy guy like me would never win like that. You know I wouldn't, 'cause I just told you so."

What a douche. LOL.
Why do there always have to be haters?
Sounds like BB just took a dump in his cereal the way he is talking.

I've never heard of Bob Cook. Except for the none Manginishake a year ago I don't recall other BB classless incidentsI can see he is uncomfortable around the media, and it shows. He doesn't give them the time of day.SO I think Cook is just trying to make a name for himself. I mean suspend a coach if theres the slightest suspecion he knew about signal stealing is absurd, and hasn't been proven yet. To put Belichick and Paciman in the same sentance is classless, and poor journalism.

You didnt see him in the second Jet game as he went towards Mangini needlessly, boorishly shoving camera men who were doing their jobs?

Yeah I saw that and thought it was pretty bad .Last year BB seamed a little surly. Any ways he talked to the camera man and appologised for his actions.

Not the second game, nope.
But the third game, damn, what a sweet left hook!

The cameraman works for the Globe so I'm sure BB knows him on some level. The camerman in question was asked about it and said he didn't think it was a big deal, and that Belichick looked him up afterwards and appologised. That being said it didn't it didn't look so inocent to me.

Let's look at the bright side of things. The videotaping story has pretty much made people forget about Rodney Harrison's suspension.

This is quickly becoming a mountain out of a mowhill..

Yeah you can say that again. Its happened before and there was never this much fuss made over it. I guess when your good everyone takes shoots at you. So we must be very good. :rocker:

When someone can explain to me how this creates an advantage for the Pats, and that no one does it from the opposing coaches box then I will be concerned. I still do not get how and what he could have done?? They use different people for different signals to confuse the other team.. I do not get this.

I think it goes back to the classic American trait of tearing someone,or something down after they have achieved fame. If the Pats were just another team we'ed most likely never hear about something like this (which I think most teams do) but because were put on a pedistal as team favored to win the SB,and the team of the decade winning three SB in 7 years people get envyous and look for any little dirt thy can dig up.

I do not understand the logistics of how the Patriots would get this information? How it would be useful in a game? How where he supposedly was was a better place to take the pics?? Logistically it makes no sense. No one has explained at all why this is ANY advantage..it does not make ANY sense at all. All I hear is they broke the rule and no explanation of anything..which makes me think it's a few steps further of gamesmanship..

This writer, of whom I've never heard either, writes that BB has a long history of classlessness, and then nearly every example is from last season. Huh? Long History?

This article is clearly an attempt by this no name, to make a name for himself. I especially like the one line apology he puts in there 'just in case'. I can't stand people that just mail it in. At least do a little more research on one or two of the topics you mention instead of just reinterating what you read.

Since as one said all these incidents he talked about were in the last year..let's just assume his history of following sports is JUST THAT LONG...what a putz...swarmy putz...

Everyone here saw the incident with the camera and it was discussed at length. You should go back and look at the threads. Clearly you are taking what happened and twisting it to make your point which sadly is typical.

Articles like this are the reason this guy is a freelance writer on msnbc, rips BB for the mangini thing but dose not talk of the back story of how the jets tried to screw him with the whole Parcells as the consultant BS.
