Pats stole Jets' calls - the latest fantasy theory [mergedx3]

Guys, there is a lot of conjecture being reported as news.

I watched Mort. He said that if NE was found guilty they could lose a draft pick or picks. That is so far from him reporting NE will lose picks it isn't even funny.

If I win the lotto tomorrow I could end up marrying a model. If I get in a car accident I could lose a leg.

Until there is anyone willing to speak on record (such as a statement from the NFL) nothing right now can be considered very valid. I heard Moss was going to be cut before the Jets game. I heard BB said Rhodes couldn't make his team. Heck, I heard the Jets were going to lose a pick over tampering with Deion Branch.

Absolute BS, IMHO. More sour grapes from the rest of the league. You have to be kidding me. Next year they will mandate TB plays with 1 arm tied behind his back.

First the Rodney BS. And now this. Rodney was doing what many of the other players in the league do. But he was singled out. Coincidence? I think not.

Now some yahoo gets caught with a camera behind the Jets bench? He "claims" to be a Pats employee? First of all I don't think the Pats would be so stupid to be caught doing such a thing. Second if he was in fact a Pats employee and was caught then I believe that this type of filming must go on all the time. Maybe teams for the most part just choose to ignore such a thing since it really doesn't matter. But the Jets and Mangenious are choosing to whine.

Those are the only plausible explanations.
Are you serious? Wow

Re: Latest Update On Pats Video Situation

Well it may not have been GB...It could've been someone else. Whatever's going on, I think we will all have much more info about this situation later tonight or tomorrow morning...

For someone who says he really wouldn't want to win by forfiet, you sure are fighting hard for one. Sorry, buddy it will never happen. Also, expect more of what you saw yesterday on Dec. 16. The Jest will probably get it worse in December since your *****y little coach had to go crying to the commish that we cheated. Daddy's gonna have to teach him a lesson.

i just heard the pats stole the " we are not going to tackle Ellis Hobbs when we kick it to him" signal from the Jets......

LOL

Poor gangreen. The concern...err desperation is almost poignant.

This will blow over in a day or two, perhaps with a pointed warning from the league to placate the whiner on the competition committee whose brand new stadium didn't land a Superbowl bid this decade. But it will have provided Manhandled and his fan base his 3 day cover heading into Baltimore where they are either going to finish poor Noodle off or get Clemmens off his back for a year.

But gangreen should be forwarned, payback for this is gonna be a biatch.

No, I'm pretty sure Mort said the Pats will have to forfeit, they lose their first rounders for the next two years, and Belichick's specific punishment will be to tell the truth on the injury report.

Where is Cimini, by the way? Why hasn't he reported that the Pats will have to switch QBs as punishment? I thought he'd be on top of this story.

Re: Latest Update On Pats Video Situation

he said that the NFL rulebook calls for a forfeit should a team be found 'illegally obtaining opposing teams' signals.' more then once.
That's BS, and I don't mean BS as in the reporter got it wrong. You're clearly lying, and not even doing a good job of it. Those of us that are actual NFL fans know they don't reverse games after-the-fact, and teams have been caught doing worse things than stealing signals. Keep on going, though...

On a more serious note, the latest from Tomase:

Word out of Buffalo is that the Bills suspected something was up last year after their 28-6 loss to the Pats in October, but they lacked proof. The Bills are now in the process of reviewing the film of both games against the Patriots to see if they can spot anything untoward going on on either sideline. It’s a safe bet that other Pats opponents are doing the same thing.

A couple of points to consider as this story unfolds. For one, if the Pats were stealing signs from the Packers and Lions, it’s a pretty good bet they’re stealing them from everyone, or at least trying.

Also, one has to question the wisdom of pulling such a trick on the Jets, who feature a coaching staff comprised mainly of former Patriots assistants. Even if the Pats only started this practice last year, that was still while former wide receivers coach Brian Daboll was on staff. He now coaches the Jets QBs. Did the Patriots think none of their former employees would rat them out?

SOMETHING MISSING in The REPORTS
How much Information was recorded?

does anyone think Mangini is unaware that things like this
go on? If so wouldn't you expect he would take steps to
put a stop to it?
... all these reports say nothing of
how much information was on the tape.
Did the guy just crank his camera up and the security guy walk over
and say who are you and confiscate his camera?

The proof is in the pudding.
THEY SUCK!!!! :bricks:

Here's the Packers incident:

Later that season, multiple sources in Green Bay confirmed the Pats had done the same thing, providing some vivid detail.

During that Nov. 19 game, a man identifying himself as a Patriots employee asked a security guard if he could shoot footage of Lambeau Field prior to the game and permission was granted. Just before the game, he requested to stay on the sidelines to film quarterback Tom Brady for the coaching staff. However, he was soon spotted filming the Packers’ defense and signaling Patriots coaches.

A member of the Packers’ security staff witnessed the exchange and asked him to leave. He retreated to the tunnel where the players exit the field, continued filming, and appeared to be communicating with the coaches via hand signals. At that point, he was escorted out of the stadium.

Asked why the Packers didn’t file a complaint following the 35-0 defeat, a Green Bay executive replied, “Because it’s not the reason they kicked our ass.” A league source yesterday said the Lions caught the Pats stealing signs with a camera during New England’s 28-21 victory at Foxboro in December.

My god this sucks.

Well that's the thing...Who knows? All anyone knows for sure is that a meadowlands security guard noticed a camerman on the Pats sideline with his camera pointed directly at the Jets coaches so he notified an NFL officer at the stadium and they confiscated the camera, sent the tape to the NFL for review, and ejected the cameraman, who later said the Pats coaches put him to this job.

What we don't know is...

At what point during the game did all of this occur?
How much of this tape is focused on the Jets signals?
And even if it was all focused on the Jets signals, how would the Pats possibly be able to use any of that to their advantage during the game?

A lot still needs clearing up, and the NFL will make some sort of press release soon enough...

My god this sucks.

Because no other team in the NFL uses cameras to steal signs.

Now every team the Patriots have beat will come out and say yeah we saw some guy filming our defense and flashing Iroquois battle code to the Patriots bench.

This is friggin' stupid. The Jests get their a**es kicked, so Mangina whines that big brother was watching.

Now every team in the league suddenly "remember" that the Pats were cheating all year.

Watch as nothing happens. It should help all the losers sleep at night though.

They couldn't be that stupid could they?

'Stupid' doesnt fit, 'arrogant' is probably more likely. That's the only reason I can think of that they would continue to do it after they'd been warned and after other teams had caught on. And after, like Tomase mentions, former Pats coaches went to the Jets.

The trolls and pansies are out..can't beat the Patriots on the field....so they go whining..and trying other ways to get the Patriots...wah!!!!

If the team could see his hand signals from that far away, why did they need him in the first place?

I just don't buy it.

LOL! Didn't catch that.
Screw Cameras, just give BB a telescope.:rocker:

"The Patriots coaches put him up to it"
How do we know that this guy is not lying.
That statement is so suspect.
