Lol. I own a 7 figure business chief. Why? Because I can recognize when something isn't working (even if it was my mistake) and make changes. I hired an employee whom I thought would be a rockstar...he was awful. That was my mistake...I fired him, we fixed it and moved on. I believe findementally that Gilmore is just not bright enough to understand his assignments, or to know that you CAN'T make stupid penalties in a must have situation. I believe the defense is better without him than with him. It's not that's I'm "quitting" on the team, it's that I want the best defense we can field and I don't believe Gilmore is part of that group right now.

Yeah I'm not giving up on Gilmore after 4 weeks. The whole defense has issues across the board. I think it starts up front and am beginning to think it's more of a schematic issue than a personnel one. If the secondary has to cover receivers longer than 3 or 4 seconds big plays are going to happen imo.

The utter ****e spewing by some of you

2 SBs in the last 3 years and were an missed XP (or Jamie Collins f**k up) from going to the last 3 SBs.

Gets a little rocky at the beginning of the season and it's abandon ship. No surprise there though, went through it 3 seasons ago and some haven't come back because of the shame they put on themselves on here. They probably wanted the Pats to lose that SB more than jests fans.

To the "Bill is wasting Brady's last years" Hey you f*cking morons what part of 2 SBs in the last 3 years do you not understand. Pats were the first team to do it since the...... PATS... Yep Bill has totally wasted them.... Idiots.

Defense
1. Same problem on defense 3 games now vs mobile QBs picking up 3rd downs.
2. Broken coverage on more than 1 big play.
3. When the D does get to the QB they cant tackle him and he gets away usually converting a 3rd down for a big play.
4. As soon as NE scored their final TD, I thought to myself that there is too much time on the clock.
5. The 2016 NE Pats gave up the fewest points in the NFL. Prior to this game, the 2017 Pats had given up the most points except for 1 NFL team. This team likely took the 32nd place crown with today's ugly performance.
6. Patricia looks at a loss on how to right the ship. Going ballistic at the secondary did not seem to help.
Well, Jameis Winston, Mike Evans, and DeSean Jackson are on tap in the next several days, so I highly doubt that the issue against mobile QBs and physical receivers (or any receivers) will suddenly disappear any time soon.

They'll need to utilize that mini-bye to try and make some improvements, but this game on Thursday is no gimme, by any stretch.

So at what point is it ok for the uber optimists in here for us to panic about Gilmore and the D? I just want to know when I'll have permission to worry about the worst defense in franchise history

No pass rush means the DBs get exposed

Nobody is abandoning ship if you say this defense is the worst defense in the NFL and on pace to be the worst defense in NFL history, it's stating facts.

It's no worse than pulling out the pom poms and pretending there's not a problem.

They stink! Don't drink the kool-aid! You need an eye transplant?!
Your panties are sandy too? I'm not backing the D. They were god awful. But the problems I see are very fixable.

first 4 games is the most the Patriots D has ever given up in the entire history of the franchise

I really thought they would have given them a run for the money. Oh well. lol
They'll improve. There is too much talent there, guys who work hard and too good of a coaching staff for them to suck like this all year.

But Law, Rodney, Geno before injuries, Poole and rookie Asante was crazy good.

While I agree with you, with SB 50 there was no guarantee we win the AFCCG even if we made that kick. There would still be OT.
