if you've watched this team, you know how it works......the defense especially is a work in progress; every year is a new year - come december this staff will have mounds of tape on everyone else, and will have a good long look at our guys, and things will come together......

Winner. Chicken littles please read ^
So, what you are saying is that we may be continue to need 30 points a game to win until the defense gels in the last quarter of the season?

I'm not criticizing. In that scenario, we are in the playoffs with a great offense, and a top 10 defense for the playoffs.

Lost in all the hysteria over the states of our O and D is the BLATANT FACT that this big huge athletic monster of a guy had an extremely magnificent all around game today for our Patriots. He wears the number ...uh...let me think...oh yeah...EIGHTY SEVEN. Anybody wanna shyt all over THIS parade? Clutch play after big play...all the all pro tricks, all the crucial blocks, the safety valve catches, the big play. # 87 PERSONIFIED what is to be a PATRIOT today on that field...but yeah, let's talk about ****ing sideline sit-ins and how massively horrible this roster is...SMH

The first four games of the year always make me nervous because of the lack of game film. The loss of Edelman, Hightower etc... hasn't helped either. Fortunately it looks like they'll get some of their key contributors back during the season. Losing Edelman does hurt though.

That aside Dorsett, Cooks and Hogan have looked really promising as a deep threat trio. It's funny that even dumbass Fouts remarked on how Cooks's presence influenced the safety on multiple plays. Imagine having all three on the field.

The defense is too talented not to improve. Rookies A.Butler and Wise have been impressive overall. Old man Branch looks like he's starting slow but the effort is there so it's just a matter of time with him. Hightower coming back may be similar to getting Edelman back on the offense.

Btw: I find it ridiculous to say "this defense played like garbage" which is a generalization for the whole game. The defense played sporadically good and bad. There were definitely positives to take away from this week's performance. As the season goes on they'll start turning in more complete game performances as the communication and play calling improves.

So yes I think we're looking at the beginnings of a great offense and a top 10 defense.

Outcoached? BOBs calls might have cost this underperforming team another win.
All the bums blow it on the challenges.
And not going for it on that 4th down. I was happy Pats fgot the stop, D when they neede it, but I don't think they would have done it again.

The variable to me was Deshaun's passing. That had not been seen before. He hit some tight windows, in close coverage. Kid was really terrific. Escaped pressure, stayed cool. He is going to be a problem. Until he gets injured, like for example, Cam Newton now. Happens to them all.
I suspect Wilson is hurting.

This was a painful loss for Patriots West. You know they wanted this one, badly. They will remember it, as will our guys. Winning when everything is not perfect is a big deal. Kids onthe team have already been through a lot of crap, on the Patriots scale of things.

Wasn't long ago, before edelman's heartbreaking injury, most folks believed they were pretty much unbeatable. None of that nonsense now, everyone knows it, and everyone knows to hang in there. BB won't have to tell them, they already know. Good stuff.

Full disclosure, I had to consult my name lookupo list for Watsons spelling:

We need to go up against a team that doesn't have three no doubt elite guys in their front 7.
Let's add, with an o-line that's down some talent and has not rapidly clicked into place. No, there's no excuse - TFB only SEEMS immortal. It's probably important to keep him upright and alive.

When a O-line is hurting though... I like to think a little more Scar tissue can reduce the pain (for all of us.)

P.S. - um you know how TFB is going to keep playing until he sucks? Nope, not yet.

People can't give the other teams credit. Houston has great players on defense

Agree - but worth noting: down the road it's not going to be a matter of beating teams without talent.

Still, if Hou. were in the NFC and yesterday were the SB, we'd be ecstatic with the win.

Houston has been getting oh so close to beating us. One of these days it’s going to happen. They are an excellent team and now it appears they have the right QB.

I haven't seen a discussion of why the holding flag was picked up by the refs -- the call that sent BOB off his trolley.

I thought the Pats got some calls that might have gone the other way (the waste-of-a-timeout Gronk challenge and the Hogan and Cooks touchdown reviews) though the phantom PI against Gillmore was bad and I recall a non-call where the Texans defender elbowed the receiver (Amendola?) in the helmet.

I think KC and the Texans are playoff caliber teams but these games will mean nothing if they meet again in January.

The KC game will certainly mean something if its the difference between playing at Arrowhead or Gillette.

The chiefs are 2 games up on us

I don't care where it is. I am sure our guys want some payback against them. They also don't have eric berry

True but they still are tough, especially at home. We want payback but at gillette.

That's true. I was referring to the game planning. If the Patriots and the Chiefs meet again it won't look like the week 1 game.

It's awful still. If brady was still in his early 30s then it wouldn't be a problem. He's the franchise. We can't let him get hit like that game in and game out

Yes. Just so awful that 3 ELITE ALL-PRO players were able to sack Brady.. SMH. Clearly you understand very little about the game.

Texans outplayed pats all game..reminds me of last years super bowl.....Texans got gassed and O’Brien made a horrible decision not to go for it on 4th and 1.....but we will take the W....but Bill and his coaches and the entire team looked like crap for much of the game.....Luckily TFB was able to lead another great comeback and Texans D was pretty fried!!!

Clearly you watched a different game than everyone else. And you've become one of the Negative Nancy I'm blind to anything positive crowd. Off to the ignore list with this stupidity.

No you don't! We have done a better job against their d line before. Solder was putrid
