As long as Belichick is not playing Leeroy Jenkins we're good.

We started 1-2 in 2012, was the season over then?
I remember that game. We were on the way to losing to Buffalo and dropping to 1-3 until Wilfork stepped up and forced a fumble around the goal line right before the half.

In the second half, they hit the gas and hung 50+. That Wilfork play was huge in turning around the entire year. That's the game that started my superstitious gameday attire, and with good reason.

Is this thread for real? or am I being trolled by sarcasm?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Maybe if they lose on Sunday, you folks can take your Sundays and go to Bed Bath and Beyond instead of watch the Patriots.

How many of the sad faces in this thread watched the whole superbowl? I bet a lot of you guys pulled a Marky Mark and stopped watching.

I watched them stink up the joint until halftime. Then I turned it off and they suddenly started coming back. So if they stink it up Sunday, ill turn it off.

Missing the playoffs would definitely be a kick in the teeth. Would really test the loyalty of fans too.

It wouldn't be the end of the world but it would be difficult to get one of those byes. They would have to just focus on winning the division.
Today? Oh, it's just one of sixteen games, yes you try to win them all but things happen and sometimes you can't control everything, but in the long run we'll be in the playoffs and get our shot, so is this a "must win?" Well, not necessarily...

On Sunday?

YES. YES OF COURSE ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WE'VE GOT TO FIND A WAY TO PULL THIS ONE OUT OH MY GOD THE WHOLE SEASON IS ON THE LINE THERE'S TOO MUCH AT STAKE COME ON! COME ON! COME ON!...

I kind of tend to get worked up on game day.

Yes but I think you can write this season off already. Brady is done and looking like his age. He can't perform against top defences anymore. The Pats are not going to the Super Bowl.

AFC East no...but #1 seed...0-2 would hurt a bit
Where's my Jim Mora "#1 seed" meme when I need it?

They'd have to win 10/14 just to finish 10-6 and likely push for the #3 seed. In the end, seeding may not matter, as they should win the division barring catastrophe, but a first round bye may be difficult with an 0-2 start and games against the Broncos, Raiders, Falcons, Steelers, etc., with only one of those coming at Gillette.

Sunday's game is a must win if you bet your house, so the moral of the story is to not bet your house.

Clearly we should all panic.

Anybody who didn't watch the Pats after they stunk up the joint in the first half of this super bowl, and then won the game for the Pats via reverse sympathetic magic, through the heroic act of turning off the game...

Help us out again good buddies!!! Only you can save the season!

I don't know it would test the loyalty of the fans. If you've been a fan since before 2001, you saw a lot of crap football and stayed with the team. I know I did, being a NY resident, I remember being excited to see to see the Pats on TV twice a year, even during 2-14 and 1-15 seasons.

That being said, if you've been a fan since 2001, they've had 2 non playoff seasons, and the fans came back strong after those seasons. So I'd say those who watch the games, care about the team and know the players will be loyal. The casual fan may get upset and their loyalty would be tested.

Rodgers regularly rips off multi game losing streaks and he's "better than Brady" to most non-Patriots fans, so...
