OK, you Americans wouldn't understand this, but sometimes you've got to purge the negativity. So here it is.

Dorsett, Marsh and Bademosi are signs of panic. Yes, Incredelman is a great loss, but surely Mitchell and Amendola can fill in between them. Signing Dorsett shows that they're worried about Mitchell and maybe Dola too. Ditto Marsh. Of course, they're short of edge rushers with the loss of Rivers and Ninko and Ealy busting, but surely they'd still be fine -- or, at least, not in such bad shape that they have to sign someone who is going to take weeks and weeks to figure out the system. So fear the worst about McLellin. And the Pats need yet ANOTHER special-teams-only player? That either tells us that BB is feeding an addiction or something about Slater. With all of those injuries, perhaps the team needs to re-think its training, conditioning and medical care.

It's too bad we don't have an unjust scandal to avenge. Pats fans goes into this season spoiled with a team who just won it all, and who are favored to do so again.
