Not to be a downer here but don't expect much help from him when it comes to the pass rush. Marsh had a lot of trouble setting the edge in Seattle. Marsh has zero bull rush ability and gets too easily washed out. With that said, he is a high motor/effort type player and good(not great) on special teams.

Outside of flowers, I believe this is the least athletic group of defensive ends the patriots have had in many years.
When have the patriots ever had athletic DEs? Chandler jones is the only "athletic guy" that comes to mind.
Typically they are complete players big and strong more than quick and athletic.

But I expect Hightower to essentially be used in a role much like a de.

It's a collectible trading card card that debuted in 1993, inspired by the fantasy settings of (like D&D). Game has grown from small beginnings to having 20+ million players worldwide now, ranging from serious Pro Tour (professional) players to casual players playing on kitchen tables on a Friday night.

There was a brief article on it yesterday on Boston.com: One of the newest Patriots is also a serious ‘Magic: The Gathering’ player
Very helpful. Thank you.

No Rivers, so we'll go with a Marsh. Going for the all natural defensive line.

I liked in that Miami game clip how he was on the field late in a one score game. A lot different than late in a 20 point blowout.

Regards,
Chris

Personally, I like the moves Bill's made since cut-down. Definitely nervous about the quick season ending injuries.

Two comments from Seahawks fans about Marsh.

Take it from a Seahawks fan, Marsh will be the Pats' new Ninkovich. He doesn't look all that impressive on paper, but he's absolutely relentless on the field. He's an excellent rotational end for Seattle, and a special teams ace, and a cult hero in Seattle. Really sad to see him go.

i honestly don't put much stock into those analytics. I've seen Marsh solo tackle Adrian Peterson... and i mean just run him down going to the sideline. Completely by himself. He's a maniac. He excels on special teams... He's the kind of guy who will work as hard as he can to do ANYTHING for his team. THAT is WHY THE PATRIOTS TOOK HIM.. DO you think the patriots don't know what they're getting ??? LOL LOL LOL LOL They have watched this guy and have the same opinion i do... He's probably just about the most passionate hard working player you're going to find ANYWHERE. And yes... he is FAST. THAT is all you need if you can coach people up. Not some ****ing analytics. I'm not some hill billy either... medical degree and i know a good football player when i watch him play. Marsh is good with A LOT of potential. This is one of those GLUE guys that makes a championship team champions. The kind of guy you let go after you win it all and then your team is never the same after he leaves kind of guy. Seahawks WILL have injuries in the front 7 and they WILL regret this move.

This guy sucks. Really bad trade, way too light to play de. Complete waste. Plus he's an oddball.

"Oddball" is a verified method for sorting out a person's ability to do a job. That's very helpful.

In a large part of the country, if you are 1/16 black, you are black.
Also, in a large part of the country, you are whatever you say that you are.

And the reality is that almost all of us are "mixed" in some manner. The commoditization of DNA testing is going to shine some wonderful light on a lot of old, inaccurate assumptions.

And where in the US, let alone "a large part", is one considered black if one is 1/16 th black? Considered by whom? Is there an official registry of some kind? Or are you just seen that way because the people there are so backward? How do you know this? Do other people research the racial backgrounds of friends and acquaintances and such in this "large part" of the US?

Where? I think you're just virtue signalling. Calling other people racist so you can show everyone how enlightened you are. Pathetic.
My brain fart escapades don't look so bad, after reading this.
Thanks Kenny b.
So potentially being the next Nink just isn't good enough?

According to the trade compensation & Seahawks fans' thoughts on Marsh, he's our new starting OLB across Hightower in the 3-3-5 & a potential breakout player.

I think that's a huge stretch and a bit too quick to give away van noys job to a guy who hasn't played LB.

Special teamer in the rotation at de and possible 3rd down de when flowers shifts inside.

He'll earn his playing time, but clearly Bill had his eye on him for a while.
He's been pursuing him since the off season began.

Someone really needs to get some.
Put down the keyboard and go find a woman.

Thanks Kenny, between you and FCB I now know they have a good player in Marsh.

I'm sure plenty of MtG players would agree with your political views, seeing as they're mainly white dudes.

I don't think my political views have anything to do with skin color and you sure as hell dont know what they are.

Obviously, i don't think he's the next nink. Couldnt hold the line to save his life. If he were, it would be.

And i was liking nink while others were calling him stinkovich.
