Very cool!

Patriots give Super Bowl ring to Brady's mother

"He's been so supportive of my family and certainly everything my mom went through and knowing first-hand how families deal with it," Brady told ESPN.com on Friday when asked about the gesture. "He was always asking, 'How's mom doing? How is she feeling?' We didn't know up until the very end whether she was going to make it to the Super Bowl. She was a big inspiration for me, and RKK knew it. It was a great surprise to all of us when the ring showed up. She deserves it."

Well Tom Brady's Mom and Dad have been absolutely delightful over the last few years. Mr. Brady and his FU to the media while defending his son's integrity has been awesome. His mother has for the most part stayed in the shadows but am sure she sicked her pit bull husband on anyone who questioned Tommy's character. Great family. It must have been an exhilarating moment for them both while standing there in Houston and listening to Fraudger getting an f'ing record breaking booing while standing on the stage with their son.

Illustrated the bond between Brady and Kraft, maybe this might put aside all the talk about Kraft and the Pats moving on from Brady..

More and more convinced that post retirement that #12 will always have an association with this team in some capacity...

Ernie's job?

I loved the scene with his family during the celebration, hugging his mom, his dad bawling his eyes out. Lotta love in that family, goes back to 36, Brady pointing to his sisters, shaking his head at what just transpired.

Classy as f***.

While I agree they share a bond, let's not forget how much Kraft loves Wilfork. I think the key is just to "be cordial, accept it's a business & continue friendships beyond the field".

As long as there is no huge falling out, BB-Kraft-Brady will continue off-field respect no matter what city they live in.

I think Brady is going to be around Foxborough for a few years - maybe even 4 - but I am open to the fact that it could be that Brady wants to keep playing longer than the team thinks he should. Luckily, we are nowhere near that yet, as onfield production is proving...

Florio wanted to write about BB someday pushing Brady out, and just used this as a vehicle. There was no reason for all the stuff at the end except stirring the pot. Edit: I had read Florio's take on this elsewhere, and assumed the above link was to that article.

Say what you will about Krafty, but that is one class act.

That Kraft is a no good prick. Ungrateful bastard...

Ernie's job?

Look, Brady is the greatest QB who ever lived.

But there's only one Ernie Adams.

Let's keep it in proper perspective.
