Wise has been getting a lot of early praise so I was trying to find a physical comp for him. He's bigger than pretty much any EDGE in the league. Chandler is close but he looks way skinnier to me.

Some useful comments here:

He's pretty much the only defender of this weight on the roster. Might be too small for a traditional 2-gapper and too slow for a traditional 1-gapper, but he makes up for it with plus length and strength. Be interesting to see how Belichick slots him in.

The real issue is if he wants to deal with the grind. My understanding is that the coaches put in insane hours compared with the players. Would he want to fully dedicate himself like that?
