Dion Lewis strikes back at Andy Hart via Twitter:

Burkhead was dressed for every game last season. He only saw meaningful offensive snaps because of an injury to Bernard. He did well with his limited playtime, but small sample sizes are small sample sizes. Lewis has put up nearly identical statlines despite injury over two years, Burkhead has done it once. He's a pure hype player who at best should be viewed as a rich man's Bolden.

There's a tendency for people to puff up every player the Patriots sign as a diamond in the rough superstar for whatever reason, but the majority of veterans they sign are not. There's nothing wrong with a rich man's Bolden.

Exactly. As I wrote earlier, the player on the bubble because of Burkhead is really Bolden. For obvious reasons - especially because Burkhead can also be a ST ace.

.

Andy Hart occationally trolls and acts tough in order to hide his multiple man crushes where he routinely swoons in the most homoerotically awkward manner over the likes of James Develin JJ Watt, Gronk and a slew of random WWE wrestlers.

Deion should pay him no mind.

I am not sure what this guy is talking about.. but of all the patriots that have a target on their back dion would be the last guy i would pick. He has never lost a game he has played in for us. Hes a really good player when healthy and hes good luck.

"Burkhead was still injured and could not play because of injury. Skippy"??????????

WHAT????

He was DRESSED and ACTIVE for every game.

Do you know ONE thing about the NFL? Every single other poster here is laughing their heads off at what you just wrote. If player is hurt and cannot play because of injury, guess what you ridiculous tool? They do not dress that player and activate him. That's why the roster has 53 players. You DO understand that only 46 can be dressed and active for a game?

What you are hallucinating is that the Bengals kept 7 roster players (who won jobs after going through training camp) off the field for a regular season game so they could dress and keep an active player whom you claim could not play due to injury.

At this point it is clear you are either mentally incompetent or are simply trolling.

Burkhead did not play just like Lewis Mr hall of Fame.

Their snaps were almost equal. That should not cause your butthurt. Lewis is at a crossroads and for the record I am pulling for your Binky.

Funny. Did you hear the one about Jason Seehorn being a pro bowler?

you're right, Lewis outperformed Burkhead even with coming off knee reconstruction. Burkhead is what he is, a JAG back, someone that can take up a roster spot and not be a complete disaster

Lewis: 7 games

283 rush yds, 17 rec 94 yds

Burkhead: 16 games

344 rush yds, 17 rec 145 yds

pro-rate Lewis's season to 16 games and he gets 646 rush yds and 214 rec yds. Nevermind Lewis is far more dynamic with the ball and can return kicks.

Lewis is not at a crossroads. He just had his return from knee surgery year, something that every athlete with that injury goes through. The 1st year back is always worse than the player's average as they are learning to trust the knee again and getting their strength/agility/speed back as they get healthier

My only guess is that he is a Patrodomous/FCB02062 clone. It happens here occasionally.
