OT Giants equipment scandal looking real bad. Employee lies to FBI

in·teg·ri·ty /in?te?r?d?/(n), a label that is exclusively used by the NFL on the New England Patriots that justify bogus investigations that compromise some vague, feel good league standards that are endorsed by the "31"..

No kidding! Justice is going to be served for sure...

Big deal - Justice Berman was seen with Robert Kradt at a 1,000 person party days after he issued his verdict. Why didn't he recuse himself!!!??!

If the National Integrity League and its douche nozzle commish had any sort of consistency, the Giants should get the same punishment the Pats did. Kraft should lobby Goodell for it behind the scenes since they're such great friends and all.

"Mr. Goodell, the leading franchise in the nation's largest city, in the home town of the NFL, has put into doubt the authenticity of EVERY PIECE OF NFL MEMORABILIA currently in the hands of any NFL fan. Every fan who possesses a jersey, or helmet, or pair of shoes, or ball, or anything else now has a nagging doubt about its authenticity. How big a fine is that worth? Do the Giants even have enough money to pay that fine? How do the fans get back their sense of security?"

You're the devil.

As a russian friend of mine would say, this is much ado abut nutin

This is not the NFL investigating - this is the FBI. This is a criminal investigation. The FBI already has 2 people who have lied - they can either go to jail or cooperate. This is not "nothing". People in the Giants organization are at serious legal risk. This is a case of fraud - not hard for anyone to understand. We knew there was a lawsuit - I do not believe we knew there was a criminal investigation - whole different ballgame.

Hopefully the feds can strip the Giants of draft picks since it's not likely Goodell will.

Seriously, did we know for sure there was an ongoing criminal investigation? Raises the stakes A LOT.

Yeppers. Lying to the feds is a major felony.

It wasn't a Kraft thing. The Mara's were there too along with anyone who is anyone in NYC.
Hammer of Half the Story.

Hammer of Half the Story.

I had thought my eye rolls indicated that I was being sarcastic and showing the double-standard that's applied to the Patriots (I'm sure you remember the uproar that came out when that "story" was told), versus the current story about how the Giants season-ticket holding judge is refusing to recuse himself and no one is saying a peep. I guess that didn't come through though.

I want to see emails from Eli, including personal ones that have nothing to do with memorabilia so that I can judge him
I want to see all of his texts over the last several years
I want an independent investigation launched
I want the equipment managers suspended
I want a 1st round pick stripped from the Giants
I want a 4th round pick stripped from the Giants
I want Eli manning suspended for at least 4 games (this is a felony, after all)
I want ESPN anchors crying about what a liar Eli is
I want the Giants organization fined an amount equal to the amount they defrauded, multiplied by x10
I want media asking Eli "What about the children" questions, preferably right before the biggest game of his life
I want Goodell to repeat the word integrity over 500 times, while stating that he has to treat all players equally to protect the game
I want media heads flapping those holes in their faces every day about this until they've firmly destroyed his reputation outside of his region

I want all of these things... I'm sure Joker could add a few more to that list tho haha

I want to know if Karen Kessler is married to Jeffrey Kessler.

He's a lock. Numbers. Super Bowls. Giants. Not sure he'll get in on 1st ballot. Problem is he doesn't feel like a HoF player.

Maybe it's me but the HoF seems too easy to get in.

Totally agree that he doesn't feel like a HoF player at all.

Reading this from Wikipeadia, you'd think he was one of the most exciting, dominating players ever:

"Manning holds Giants franchise records for most passing yards, touchdown passes, and completed passes in a career,[2] and the NFL record for most fourth-quarter touchdown passes in a season. He led the Giants to victory in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI, defeating the New England Patriots in both games. Manning was named Most Valuable Player in each Super Bowl, becoming one of five players to have multiple Super Bowl MVP awards (Bart Starr and Terry Bradshaw have two, while Joe Montana has three and Tom Brady has four).

Manning is the active iron man for consecutive starts by a quarterback. Manning is one of four quarterbacks in NFL history with at least 45,000 career yards, 300 touchdowns, four Pro Bowl appearances and two Super Bowl championships (John Elway, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning). He is the eighth all-time leader in passing yards, and seventh in passing touchdowns.[3] Though lacking the consistent statistical prowess of his brother, Manning is known for his exceptional performances both in the clutch and in the postseason."

I'll see your and raise you :

Remember the huge outcry last year when the Giants kicker was in trouble for domestic violence and the NFL exec in charge of determining his punishment decided that he should get a 1 game suspension instead of the mandatory 6? Then someone pointed out that the executive in question was a huge NYG fan and season ticket holder. I remember tons of media pressure and the league looking very seriously at that situation.
