BGC 2018 NFL DRAFT/PATRIOT-TYPE THREAD

Two guys to watch. I'm sure most have heard of Azeem but Bierria has some real game in him.

Biggest thing I'm looking for besides their individual improvements is how the team functions and the level of play on D.

They lost a ton of talent over the past 2 years but that D performed each year. Can these two light the spark and still improve?

Thanks. Beautiful to watch Bierria in a whole game. Amazing attitude, but also surprising strength in relatively small body. Also IQ, instincts. He looks just like the hybrid LB Pats are looking for for some time..

Kincade has been talked about some (arm strength, accuracy, decision making and more in the thread) but the thing that stands out is the fact that he trusts his feet to put his arm in a position to make a throw.

He wants to stay in the pocket. That's a QB.

Talked about Richardson a few times and I think He's a guy that should be on everyone's radar next year. Guy has a nice motor.

Mata'afa is a fun guy to watch. Powerful dude, naturally strong and plays with nice leverage. Can he add a lil nuance to his game & show a lil more technique? He played all 13 games as a rs fr, added weight and progressed accordingly so I'm really excited to see how his body and game mesh after the initial college surge. He'll enter the year w/ 24.5 TFL, 12 sacks and 79 tackles after 2 years.

Lynch is a HOF lock imo and will absolutely add a whole other dimension. Love watching him play and you can obviously tell hes a real dude.

This play is supposed confuse the inside backer, but 52 looks like he was a player. Most of the time you'll get a false step towards either gap. Starts w/ the T.E. tho.

I'm a big, unapologetic Favre fan. This is absolutely hilarious.

Here's a guy who a like a lot. Actually 2. Baker & Andrews should be a lethal combo this year.

Andrews runs really nice routes and catches the ball in traffic a lot. Impressive since hes really starting to fill out. Dealt with a Shoulder injury all last year.

He'll get compared to Henry and Richardson, but I think he's a more natural runner. Richardson just ran people over -- it was incredible to watch, but he lacked vision and patience. Henry was a better college runner, and he's still acclimating to the pros, but Scarborough seems to have a more translatable game. I'd love to see him here, actually.

Check out the closing speed. He's able to get skinny and keep away from defenders in some tight spaces.

This video shows what I was speaking to above. Just a tough guy for offenses to get a hand on. Very fluid, bouncy and an array of moves. Mr get it done I like to say and even liked a tweet from me

Backs this big usually don't have that lateral ability.

Imagine being a Jet fan. PAYING THOUSANDS of $'S every year. And now this ****in guy is throwing the ball like his eyes are closed. Christ it's really not this ****in hard. It's not easy by any stretch but holy **** it's not this hard.

NFL Throws and arm strength ?
Accuracy ?
Processing speed & what's in front of him ?
Mobility ?

Watts has a lot of ability but I have to see improvements closer to the los.

Beautiful to watch. Drops his hips and ass to get underneath the smaller man and his power takes care of the rest.

Guy loves to finish which is huge at any position.

Never heard about this guy until about 3 minutes ago but one of the many purposes of a thread like this is provide info, breakdown play, what the Pats might need and so on. But it's also nice to just throw out some guys you never heard of.

AND btw J.L. is easily one of my fav's to follow. Extremely high football I.Q. I learn a lot from him.

I remember watching Lee from USC a few years ago and just wasn't as impressed as others. Obviously hes a good player but was nowhere near #1 WR from that class. One thing that stood out from watching him and something I always look for is how someone attacks a ball/deep ball. Lee would try to body catch everything, even jump/50-50 balls.

It speaks to the players hands and how much he trust them or doesn't. It's one thing barley being 6' but if you're 6'4-6'5 theres no excuse. Go up and take what's yours. I've followed EQB since he came into college and this is easily his biggest year. So much talent there. He won't get any favors from this class tho as it looks top heavy & at least 2-3 rounds deep.
