I can't believe how confident I am in the Pats chances going into the 2017 season, but it is a very quiet confidence.
We have experienced unrivaled success in the Brady/Belichick era, and we have also experienced unrivaled persecution by NFL* management as they try and keep the Pats from continuing to dominate.
Given all of that, I am feeling like something changed when the Pats came back against Atlanta. It feels like a paradigm shift of some kind, and the Pats and their fans have changed in a way that I can't put my finger on.
Is it that the NFL* gave it their best shot to kill the beast, and they failed, and now the beast is just going to do whatever the hell it feels like?
I don't ever want to go into a season overconfident, but this just feels so preordained this year. The Pats are just a cut above the rest of the league in every way.
