Jests for sale: next Eric Decker

Two seasons ago I would have loved to have Decker. Too bad now our WRs are inundated with talent.

Didn't want him two years ago. A talented WR who always comes up small in big games and moments.

I expect him to go to Miami and join Adam Gase.

Seriously, is there a legit roster strategy that involves cutting every major talent on your team?

I get departing from a losing model, but is this the best way to do it?

Decker might have been overpaid, but he wasn't such a bad signing by them despite the injuries last season.

I figured the word HOPE would come with this strategy sooner than later..

I thought I read that he just had hip surgery a month ago. Have you seen that anywhere?

Just the one back in autumn.

Here from Roto:

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Eric Decker has been medically cleared from his hip and shoulder surgeries.

It's quite the recovery. Decker had extensive hip and shoulder operations when he was injured in Week 3 last season. He was expected to face a rehab deep into summer, but Decker participated fully at OTAs. Now healthy, the Jets are looking to trade him in the next 72 hours or they will cut him. Decker likely prefers the latter so that he can pick his own destination, though he may not get the $14.75 million in salary he's due the next two years if that happens. The Titans and Ravens have been speculated as options.

Still probably a red flag for most without their own check-up..

No. This is the JETE way to do it

Does deliberately tanking an NFL season constitute violating the integrity of the league??..
Quiet, there's nothing to see here. Now move along. Don't worry about what's behind that curtain

So we have a terrible, corrupt team using a terrible strategy which they won't even be able to execute well. Promise you that in 9 months, they'll feel so much pressure from 2017 failure that they'll make a handful of impulse buys on the free agency market and undermine the youth movement and rebuild.

It's pretty stupid to leak that you're going to cut him without a trade partner. Now the best they can possibly hope for is a 6 or 7 from a team who doesn't want to compete with other suitors for a contract.

The NFL definition... Integrity.. a standard of the NFL that is only used in describing any action by the New England Patriots that might appear improper but for everyone else is it just fine...

It's the Jets. If you expect the application of sound business acumen to football decisions you will be severely dissapointed.

Was listening to NFL radio and I think it was Polian saying he thinks the Jets could win up to 7 games.WTF??? In what universe?? Nearly drove off the road.... they will give 0-16 Lions a run for their money.
